For someone like me, I had already solved out every puzzle on this topic from day 1. Starting from the way Derek acted, phones and not letting people know at camp that Anna and him are siblings. He even muttered a holy shit when I said my mom was in a coma and run his hand in his hair as always when he was nervous.
They are agents. Holy shit!
A lot of agent stuff started circulating in my head. From those missions, cool gadgets they had to use and being an agent on its on. These guys were so busted.
"Care to explain please?" I ripped the silence that was taking over the room. Kelvin was moving his eyes from corner to corner. Why D-man was avoiding to look at me. "So you won't deny that you guys are spies!"
"Be careful with words Thea," Kelvin warned me.
"Am not the one who exposed you guys as agents," I replied back with more power. "So tell me, do you know what really happened that led to my mom's coma?"
"Parker please -"
"Please what? You guys know how my mom got into this situation," I retorted at his poor attempt. I have been dying to know if what happened to my mom was by 'accident' as doctor or agent Lucky told us with the help of some officers. I glanced at them again and the silence took most of it. So I took my phone.
"Why are you taking out your phone?"
"And don't plan to dial anyone about this," Kelvin warned me.
"I wanna talk to my dad about this." I knew it was the stupidest thing to do but I just wanted them to tell me what really happened before them and the classic walls ate me alive.
"Please Parker don't!"
"Why? I can keep your secrets guys!" I could keep secrets.
"This is big," D-man said slowly.
"You don't have any option," I shrugged it off. I looked at them and I almost felt sorry for them. I don't know what will happen. "Please tell me what happened?"
Both of them were quite. There eyes were having their own talk that I couldn't make out anything. "You're mom was innocently involved Parker. She never knew anything what was happening. She was walking in the outskirts of the city and then the guy we caught hit her hard when she was crossing the street. The guy ignored the red light. She is innocent and that matter has all been sorted out," D-man finished his claim. Thank goodness my mom wasn't in the spy issues.
"Let's go talk about this in my car," Kelvin killed the silent.
"Are you trying to kidnap me?" That was not a good move Kelvin. "If I am gonna die—"
"My car is soundproof!"
Oh.
We left the room. The elevator made its way into the modern classy lobby. We waved at the doorman there and left the building. We were welcomed by the cool summer vibe. Everything was real during summer. Though it was hot, I was okay with it. We walked like for two minutes and saw his car.
"Shotgun!" I ran towards his car. There was no way that am gonna sit at the back. D-man was about to disagree when my eyes clear showed not to mess with me.
