Liz was going through that time of the month. I noticed as she started to become distant but Jason did not.
Let us just say, Jason started hiding behind my back. She skipped the class. First two days were miserable for her. She refused medication. She had a love and hate relationship with that. She loved this part of her womanhood but hated when it happened. I had no idea what that meant. But, I was not the one going through it. So, what did I know!
Poor baby.
I bought her lunch and placed it on her coffee table. She was sleeping with a pillow on her tummy. I placed her favourite chocolates on her nightstand and wrote a note.
'Jason and I will go out for dinner. Do not bother getting up. Will bring you Thai. Ice cream in the fridge. Check emails.'
I closed the door and went to my room. I had a 2 pm. Plenty of time to rest.
Ding.
Why am I blushing every time I hear a text? Ever since I came back from home, Robbie and I were... close. It was hard not to. I still tried my best to forget what happened. But...it was difficult when he reminded me about that every couple of hours.
Sadly, it was not Robbie. No, not sadly... Just...Whatever.
10,000 dollars were credited to my account.
"Jason, how the hell do you manage to sell all these programmes?" I asked the man sitting on my sofa like he owned it.
They were really useless. I did those codes to fight my boredom at home. Some of them were from high school. Yeah, I edited according to Jason's recommendations but still.
"Dave, you truly have no idea how much of a genius you are. People have business. They need shortcuts to save their time. The software you made in high school, the one that take descriptions of a book and show all the possible options?"
I remembered. Who would buy it? It would show hundreds of images. So, it was not that helpful.
"Well, I sold it to M & K Publishers. They are planning to extend their library slash bookstore next year."
"They gave you 10,000 dollars for that crap?"
"20000 and 25% discount for every book we purchase and we get to meet all the authors they invite during events." He smirked.
"Really?" That was so cool.
"Well they actually were considering only me. But my being a good friend added your name too."
"Hey, it is my software. So, what did you sell for 10,000?"
"The one that beep when you cuss."
"What the... who bought that?!"
"Private boarding school run by nuns. Hey, that rhymes!"
I could already hear thousands of curses by innocent children thrown my way.
"Jason, you jerk!"
He shrugged.
"Anyways, I am going to class. See you at 6. Dinner is on me." Jason was the true genius. How did he manage to do that!
Ding.
Next time let us try The Virgin.
I blushed bright red. I was not going to acknowledge it.
Video call at 10?
I ignored again.
Or I could call now.
No, at 10.
Jesus, Robbie.
What are you doing to me?
I want you in my arms, Angel.
I could not stop smiling. He caused my heart to flutter. He made me believe I could fly.
Robbie was livid when he heard about Tim. He was going to come here and teach him a lesson. It took me hours to calm him down even after infoming him how Liz and I handled it.
I missed Robbie so much. I missed being in his arms as he showed me heaven.
Go study. I will wait.
I was smiling so big that even my teachers noticed.
I was sure, Jason noticed it too, but he narrowed his eyes and went back to his presentations like he found nothing interesting, every time. Did Liz notice? Highly unlikely. She was not that perspective. She needed the slap of truth in her face. And I hoped like hell that she remained that way.
