He was being extra loving. He was always loving but these three days he was in such a good mood that it was contagious. We spent hours talking about anything and everything. It was almost like before. It would never be the same because I could not shake the feeling of guilt of doing wrong but I was far too gone to stop myself.

I was doing exceptionally good in classes. Dr. Mehboob Ahmed Khan, who always said I was not using up all of my potential, said he was proud of my efforts. He was so hard on me before, even though I was one of his his top five students. He was never satisfied with any of our grades. So it was a big deal for me.

When I told Robbie, he was ecstatic as I was. It was so endearing and heart-warming. He was happy because I was happy. Tell me, how could I not fall hard for such a man?

Mom noticed that I was calling her frequently. She even asked if I had a sweetheart the way I was behaving. Always smiling and laughing.

Uncle Fred might have told my mom about having someone but mom told Tim and I broke up. It was a good thing Uncle Fred thought it was Tim. He was not as trusting as my mom was. He would squeeze the truth out of me.

My classes were over at 2 p.m. So, Liz and I were in the library listening to our senior going through slides of important equations. Physics was a tough subject, but the possibilities are limitless if we tamed it right. Liz and I were to submit a project before graduation. With her vast knowledge on physics, we were kind of set. But after having three successive failed attempts to make a rover, we were deeply focused on the basics.

It was not a surprise that Robbie was texting me non-stop. He would wait until all my classes were over before texting me. I could not wait for that ding sound.

Ding.

I opened the message.

I am here.

                                Where?

Outside your department building. Near the gate.

                 Don't joke right now.

I am not. I have the conference tomorrow. Needed to see you.

He was calling. I answered the call with shaking fingers.

"Robbie" I hissed.

"Hi Angel. I am really here. Come out. I will wait." He hung up the phone.

I looked at Liz who was oblivious. "Liz, I have a visitor. I have to go."

"Are you okay? You look like you are going to pass out."

"I am fine." I ran out of the library skidding through the stairs.

He was here. Oh my god! He was here.

My phone started ringing again. It was Jason.

"Dave, Liz told me that you have a visitor and you are going to pass out."

"Yes, I have a visitor but I am not going to pass out." I was going to kill her.

"Are you sure? I can skip class and come with you."

"Nooo, why? I am fine Jace."

"Just...are you sure you are okay? I do not mind skipping."

"Yes, Jace. I am fine...More than fine actually. This is a pleasant surprise. I will call you later."

"Call me, Dave. I mean it. If you need any help just call and I will be there. No matter the time."

I laughed. "I am not going to die, Jace. Do me a favour. Please ask Liz to bring my stuff to my room. I have to go now."

"Call me if you want a ride or something at any time." I hung up the phone after agreeing. God, he was a worry wart.

I reached the gate and looked left and right.

Where was he? If he stood me up I would...

"Hello, my Angel."

I froze. I turned around.

There he was. I stared and stared and stared some more.

He was standing so close. I could not open my mouth and say something to save my life.

I was so shy. I was frozen. He was waiting for me to talk to him but...

"I missed you so much." He touched my cheeks with his forefingers.

A vehicle stopped beside and I jumped a little. Robbie looped his arms on my waist and steadied me.

He opened the door. "Come with me, please?"

I was in trance but soon I was bombarding him with the questions.

"What are you doing here?"

He smirked. "You said you could not come with me to conference. You did not tell me that I could not come to you." He pushed me to the car seat.

I narrowed my eyes.

"Come on. I was missing you like crazy."

Another phone call interrupted us.

"Mom?"

"Hi honey, Robert is near your college campus. He called me before but I was in a conference. If he visits, please help him find some places he wants to go. He..."

"He is already here mom. In fact, I am with him, right now. He did not inform me before."

"Oh, then everything is fine. I have to go, son. Another meeting." She hung up before I could reply.

I narrowed my eyes again.

"I apologize. I did not want you to find excuses not to see me."

It warmed my heart. I turned my face away to hide my blush.

"I want to see more of your blush, Angel. It was all I could think about all these days."
