*Chapter Five*

   Recap: Four threw a knife at Tris's ear and says "Points for bravery stiff"

   Tris's POV:

   I grin and wish the initiates weren't here, they can't know that Tobias and I are together, that's what we agreed on. It's our personal life and they don't need to know about us. Ugh.

   I check the time, great, almost dinner time.

   Tobias and I dismiss the initiates and stay after to pair up the fights;

   Christian-Walter (Erudite-Abnegation)

   Mia-Kayla (Amity-Amity)

   Charles-Angela (Candor-Erudite)

   Rose-Caroline (Candor-Erudite)

   Daniel-Farah (Candor-Candor)

   And the number of initiates is uneven so Edgar, a Candor boy gets to sit out.

   "This year the stiff doesn't get to sit out." Tobias smirks.

   "You were stiff too" I yell.

   "I know, I know."

   "Besides I never belonged there, this is where I belong."

   He embraces me in a tight hug. "You fit in perfectly with the Dauntless. But you are still a stiff, my favorite stiff." He kisses my forehead.

   "I love you." I say quietly.

   "I love you too." He replies.

   "Now can we go to dinner?" I say and my stomach growls.

   Tobias laughs "Yeah." He takes my hand and walks with me to the cafeteria.
