T/W: Car Crash, Minor and Severe injuries, Panic attacks, small argument, vomiting, internalized stress, sleep deprivation, just... pain, everywhere. Things will be okay. Probably.

"... And please don't forget to pick up the cumin. I really need it for dinner tonight and I'm not going to make the chili if I don't have the cumin, okay?" Atlas rolled his eyes, checking the time on his phone. In his peripheral vision, he could see Yas absentmindedly fiddling with their galaxy tie.

"Yeah, yeah. We won't forget, Yas. You've mentioned it like, a million times. Calm your tits." Yasmeen gave a small glare at Atlas' comment as they rolled their eyes.

"I mention it because the beef and mushrooms are going bad, as well as the beans and tomatoes I just bought. I'm not letting those go to waste. Abby, do you have the list?" Abby gave a small nod to her lover, holding it up for them to see. Maicee was sitting on the couch, slipping on her flats while taking a sip of her coffee.

"Right here, dear. Don't worry. Maicee, Atlas, and I will make sure to get everything, right?" Maicee gave a small nod in agreement while Atlas gave a salute. Yasmeen sighed.

"Great. I'll get started on prep. Be back soon, okay? And be careful. The roads are still kind of icy." Everyone groaned. Sure, it was thoughtful of her to care, but they really needed to head out so they had time to shop before the store closed.

"Can we just go? You worry more than a mom at this point." Yasmeen gave a scoff at that, turning to head towards the kitchen.

"Sure, whatever. I mean it, though. Love you all." Everyone muttered their goodbyes as Abby grabbed the keys to the van. Maicee sat in the passenger seat as Atlas sat in the back, scrolling through Tumblr on his phone. Gray clouds loomed overhead, make Abby give a wary glance to the skies above.

"Chill, Abby. It's just a bit of rain. We'll be fine." Maicee's happy smile hiding behind her scarf made Abby smile a bit too as they headed out of the driveway and onto the streets. The suburban neighborhood gave a warm feeling, with a beautiful blend of old and new architecture everywhere. The Red Maple trees were just starting to gain a few leaves in the fluctuating February weather, creating a vibrant blast of color across the streets. They completely lined both sides of the streets. While it had been somewhat warmer this February, the temperature had dropped once again, leaving everyone in thick jackets to combat the thirty-degree weather (Fahrenheit, of course).

In five minutes, they were at Harris Teeter. The trio walked inside, the heater blasting in their face and quickly warming them up from the cold walk they had made. A slight rainfall had begun as they walked to the produce section, quickly picking up. None of them noticed, simply going through the list and looking for deals.

"Shoot... They're out of strawberries," Atlas muttered, adding a triangle next to the item on the list. "Why are they always out of strawberries!?! Ugh." He reached for the grapes, tossing them into the cart. Maicee stared at him like he was crazy.

"...What? ...What!?!" Maicee grabbed the grapes and looked at the bottom, where there were a few rotten ones.

"Don't you check your produce before you buy it?" Atlas gave a sheepish grin, rubbing his neck. Maicee shook her head, letting out a small giggle.

"It's fine. Check to see if any of the bags are good." She walked over to the vegetable section, talking to Abby who had been trying to bag some cilantro. Atlas got a good bag of grapes and pushed the cart over to them.

"It's not my fault the bag wouldn't open! Stupid plastic... destroying the world and stuff..." Abby let out a small huff as Maicee open the bag for her, where Abby placed the cilantro in. Atlas gave out a small snort.
