Angel Arrives

Both of us could hear Angel's little car pulling in to the drive. By little, I mean really little. A fifty-five horsepower three-cylinder engine, and thirteen-inch wheels. Angel's car has over a quarter million miles on it, and Angel loves it. It gives her nearly fifty miles per gallon and is dead simple to work on.

At one point in its existence, it used to be about what anyone would expect a tiny, inexpensive economy car with that many miles on it would be: barely working, and it looked the part. Morgan and Jessica went through the car from end to end, and it is now in better than brand new condition. Tiny, but loud. With the air conditioning on, highway speeds are barely attainable. Morgan's perfect 1991 Miata is even older though, so there is that. Morgan and Jessica also restored Vera's utter piece of garbage Buick Regal to where it looks like a Grand National. It runs better. Vera's pride and joy now.

That three-cylinder engine in Angel's car is very distinctive. The car in the drive has to be Angel.

"Guess we have to stop necking now." I said sadly.

"To be continued." Morgan told me. "You kicked my ass. Now I am going to make sure you pay for it."

"I am terrified." I said, in a very unterrified voice.

"As you should be, mister. I may be 'your Morgan', but once again, I am going to make you my Adrian."

We started walking along the porch, around and down to the front of the main house. Angel parked there, presumably to the side so as not to block things. It's a wide drive. It has to be for the RV's.

"I already am yours, but I will not tell you that until after you take me and make me yours, because I am looking forward to that. Oh. Funny story. Angel is worried about staying in the old Helen bedroom. She noticed Helen lived in there, married in, you stayed in there, married in. She is afraid that means she is next."

Morgan looked thoughtful. "That would be a little weird, after all these years. Not against the idea, but we really need another man in this setup if we are going to keep adding straight girls."

"Yeah. True. I am not at all sure Angel is a completely straight girl, as I am pretty sure that Angel would like to marry Vera right now. First, before us anyway, so that would get really messy without some more men in the mix. No matter what Angel's gender-related appetite is, I know Vera's leanings."

"Why Jessica made Vera a boy after her own heart. Possibly headed off or slowed down anything happening with Angel, although that was not the intention. The only man I know that works for us is Danny, and that seems unlikely in the near term. He and Lori are pretty serious." Morgan said, adding "... Although Danny and Lori together work from the point of view that Lori and Helen have ALWAYS wanted each other."

"True." I could not help but agree. "From the very first moment they met. Lori would love to get herself some Helen. Danny is the hold up there. Helen kind or intimidates him."

"Sorry. It is all weird right now. Besides, Angel, Danny, and Lori are not Vampires, and that would be a problem in a few decades. It would be easier if they would decide to try to come over, like my Dad."

"When is he going to try?" I asked.

"Soon. I can smell him getting worse again. I know you can too. If he does not try soon, he will run out of time." Morgan looked at the ground. Then to me. "Really soon. We need to talk to him, and press upon him that time is not his friend here. I know he is loving being back with Mother and all, but if he wants to stay with her, he has to turn."

"My love, I am by your side whenever you want to talk to him." I assured.

"I know. I know you are." Paused, then added, "Let us talk to Jessica tonight about it."
