We were opposite a good Mexican food place. We ate there once on this trip and liked it. I asked her "Salsa's for dinner? It's not crowded yet."
"Sure. Let us get some Guacamole to go too. For later: When the 'get lucky' part of our day is happening."
She sang those two words. About the only words in that particular pop song, I think. Not that I am complaining.
"You have great ideas." I enthused. Guacamole is a major part of sex play for all of us. Even Rachel likes it.
"I know. I married you. My best idea yet."
As we walked in to the restaurant I asked: "Did you and Jessica ever settle who asked who?"
"What is there to settle? She asked me and I asked you. That is historical fact." Morgan said in a way to imply it is a silly thing in the first place,
"I see. OK. That is true of course. It seemed there was a 'who asked who first' competition going on there for a while."
"There was. We are both correct as to how it happened." Morgan asserted.
"She asked you, you said nothing. You asked me, we made love in the deep end of the pool and got married minutes later."
"Exactly." Morgan said. "We are both right. If I knew THEN, however, as the saying goes, I would have told her 'yes'. I did not know how much I was going to love her. I loved her then of course, but now? A whole other thing."
"You did qualify that statement as 'in love BEFORE me'" I noted.
"For a reason." Morgan agreed.
The host asked "How many in our party, today?" and seemed to know the answer because he picked two menus out of the side of the host podium.
Morgan replied, also observing the menu pick: "Only my husband and I today. Thank you."
"This way please. Welcome to Salsa's" he waved, and we followed.
I sub-voiced "Damn it. You beat me to it."
Morgan replied in sub-voice "You have to be fast around me, my husband."
"Most of the time, I try to be slow with you." I said.
"Tell me about it. You can't undress me nearly fast enough sometimes."
"I was enjoying myself." I gave her a microshrug.
"I was ready. I told you I was." Morgan complained.
"I know."
"So you were torturing me then?" Morgan asked with a hint of danger in her voice.
"Nope. I was merely enjoying myself by unwrapping my present slowly." I said, not intimidated.
"You have unwrapped that particular present numerous times. Are you finding new things?" there was a hint of sarcasm.
"Ever single time." I assured her. "Every time."
"You were torturing me." Morgan stated flatly.
It is fun flirting in sub-voice.
We both ordered a house margarita. No nearby customers in the place yet. A couple over by a window. Various staff doing prep things. We could talk.
"LCPF and Astral: Total busts. We can try the A&M library tomorrow." I know that did not sound properly enthusiastic.
"I agree. I would call it a waste of time except we are here, we are having a honeymoon out of cycle, and we learned all sorts of trivia about Galveston." Morgan sounded more properly enthused than I.
