As I walked out the door where my daughter just was, my phone rings. I take it out of my pocket, and look to see who the caller is. It"s Plutarch. I examine my phone for a few seconds, trying to find the answer button. Only Capitol people usually have phones, or the mayors of the twelve districts, to keep in touch with Capitol officials. Being part of the top-secret rebellion group, Plutarch managed to get me and a couple other members phones, so we could keep contact. I finally find the green button and answer.

"Hello?" I answer, even though I know its him.

"Dalton, I heard about what happened." I already know what he's talking about; Lia being chosen. I thought for sure my little girl couldn't possibly chosen; after Silas and all. Now I'll have two kids gone from the games. Two! The odds are never in the family's favor it seems.

"Dalton..... are you there?" Plutarch says.

"Yeah, I'm here." I let out. "How did you find out?"

"Dante. He called me as soon as the reaping ended." Dante, our District ten mayor was also in on rebellion group.

"Listen, he added." I know this is hard for you.... and I want to let you know them I'm here for you and your family."

I sigh. "Thanks Plutarch, but that's not going to solve my problem now is it?"

He pauses for a second, as if deciding something. "Tell you what." He lets out. "I'm gonna do everything I can to save your girl. After all, I have a lot of say of who really wins this thing."

I pause for a few seconds. Yes, bringing Lia home would be a huge. After all, after sacrificing my son, don't I deserve my little girl to come home?

"What about the boy" I let out. Pennington was a good friend of mine; always looked out for my family while I looked out for his. We've been buddies even before the rebellion group; back when we were kids. I couldn't let him down.

"Look after the boy too." I said. "Give Pennington a chance.

He sighed. "Alright, as you wish." I try to make sure that District Ten has a victor this year." And with that he hung up.
