Back to the roots - Prologue

A girl is sitting alone on the bench, she is crying the time was difficult for her, she wasn't alone a boy was sitting next to her.

"Don't cry, here." He gave her a hanky, it was his own which had his initials, *SR*.

"Chakor Shh I'm there for you. Here please, wipe off your tears I can't see you crying."

The girl looked at him, red eyes and a running nose, "Suraj, my parents just died. How can you say that?" She sniffs loudly and wipes her tears with her sleeve.

"I didn't meant that, come Chakor you will stay with me and my parents." He hold her hand, slowly he intertwined it with his fingers.

Chakor sobs, "I know uncle and aunty will help me, we are family friends."

Suraj shook his head, looking at his stern face expression Chakor got confused as well as scared.

"They aren't?" She asked him and he smiles, "they are more than just family friends. Chakor we are family."

Chakor smiles, she nods her head and hold his hand even tighter, "right. You are my family."

Teju and KN came with their elder sons, Ajay and Arjun.

"Chakor," Teju cups her face, "we just completed the last rites of the funeral of your parents. Now you will come with us. We will look after you."

Suraj pulls her close, she was out of the clutch of Teju , "see family." He kisses her cheek and she blushes by his act.

Ajay and Arjun laughed, "haasi toh phasi {smile and get snared}."

Chakor fumes, "I don't like you." She said to them and KN took her, "but you like me?"

Chakor nodded, "haan Uncle. I like you." She was very calm and cute, just 9 years old and lost her parents, "we are your caretakers, now you will stay with us and we will look after you."

Suraj was happy having Chakor around him all the time, they are best friends, but Chakor is having high ambitions.

"Uncle now I'm 18 years old, I would like to continue my education abroad."

Suraj felt bad, "what why abroad? Don't you think the universities of India are equally good than those of other countries?"

Chakor glares at him, "fine, then let me explained it in words you understand. I want to study abroad to stay away from you, cause you are disturbing me."

*Hahahah!* Ajay and Arjun were laughing like mad, "Suraj you have no chances, she will never be yours."

Suraj smirks, "one day she will, after all I'm her family."

Chakor rolls her eyes, "oh please, they are all my family."

"Ouch!" His brothers said to tease him more.

"So sad Deevar ji, but Chakor is independent. She won't fall in you cheap trick."

"Thank you Bhagya Bhabhi." Chakor smiles and pinches on Suraj cheek.

"Fine, go, but don't worry I will be waiting for you." He winks and they clapped, "last and major point goes to Suraj!"

Chakor fumes, they were buddies and everyone saw more on them...
