I escape the Calvin household and then spent the weekend looking for work, as I didn't want to be dependent on the inheritance, I'm still looking.
During the week things with the Elite and Charlotte seemed to quiet down and I'd occasionally talk to Luke and Asher, I don't know if that is something to do with the evening we had with Calvin, who was even colder but more distant than usual, but oh well. Jace was a no show, I mean Calvin had beat him up pretttyyyy badly, and I decided that when I saw him again, I'd have to apologise.

And with that a whole week had passed and I realise that I'd been in Heartlands for a whole month, I'd finally come to terms with the fact that this, this is my life now, I don't know for how long it will be, but it is right now.

This didn't stop the fact that I had all my most personal belongings in a bag along with my savings in case of any changes in the course of my life.

I yawn and crawl out of bed after another long night, and quickly pull on my uniform, then making my way to school.

I have business first, and the teacher was expecting our initial working on the business we had to do in pairs, I had done some stuff but of course wasn't as effective as if the arsehole of a partner would've helped, I slid my bag to my side of the table and of course Mr Kingsley was absent.

I pull out some of the work I'd done and started to compile a list of reasons that my work may not be sufficient.

The teacher started talking but all I could focus on was the strands of hair  of the boy sitting in front of me.

Then I am startled by a fashionably late arriving piece of shit, who took his seat next to me. The teacher being dismissive of the fact that he'd just entered.

I roll my eyes, and look over my poor excuse of a business which layed in front of me, and my heart quickened as I feel the day of judgement was nearing as the teacher began to check each table.

Calvin sat there uninterested,
'A brick has more emotion than you,' I mutter under my breath.
He didn't react, pissing me off further.

The teacher reached our table asking for our work, and I immediately am on the defence, deciding how to articulate my presentation on why I didn't do the work.

To my surprise Calvin fucking Kingsley, pulls out some sheets from his bag as well as the ones that were scattered in-front of me and casually explained to the teacher a summary of everything we were meant to do.

I watch him in awe and looked at his face as he explains, the concentration in his eyes, the movement of his jaw, and didn't even realise that the teacher had left.

'Take a picture it'll last longer,' He says in an amused tone,

'You just had to ruin the fucking moment didn't you.'
