'But before that, I will speak just a little
more of your mother, whom I assume you're quite fond of so this is not an issue.' He smiles sinisterly.

'Your mother still wasn't content, without getting revenge on me, feisty little thing, so before she left, you were 7 I presume at that time, she told her best friend Lizzie, about what had happened.' He mimics, 'Elizabeth had always been unstable, emotions ran wild in her, and she couldn't deal with it, puny little thing, ended up becoming in a psychologically vegetable state, the sex was terrible, that's why I had my mistresses of course.' He deadpans, this man, in and out, is completely, and utterly evil, 'Eventually ended up killing herself, done a service to the family to be honest Blair. Because if she had spread the evidence that you have, I would have had to kill her myself.'

He pours the contents of my bag, all the pages, my phone, a couple pads, out, and pours a substance that I presume is gasoline. I hold myself from making a snark comment on how I have another copy.

'And this,' He lights a match 'Is the end of that.' He drops the match, and the blazing fire rises in front of my eyes.

He walks behind me and I hear sounds of a liquid, and then of something ripping, a packet of sugar perhaps. Footsteps draw closer to me, I see his shadow inserting something into the IV attached to me, moving to face me, his figure over powers mine as he takes a sip from one of the cups.

'Water?' He asks, wiping his lips with his thumb and after finishing his water he walks closer as I clench my mouth shut.

'I'm afraid you haven't much a choice,' He roughly forces the cold liquid down my throat, which I am sure has been mixed with some sort of drug.

'Now Blair, comes the fun part. You see, after your mother left town, I played four cards, leading to this checkmate.'

I feel myself slowly slipping into a disoriented state, but can still focus on his words.

'You see, Elizabeth's death did me well, as all of her inheritance will be given to Calvin, who's already signed the agreement to give it to me. But, you must know by now, I dream big. And the Clifford fortune is also very promising, and you're the last barrier.'

'Four cards Blair, four.'

His voice echoed in my head.

'One. Fire.'
