I've never slept so peacefully. I can only liken my slumber to that of a bear in hibernation, or a sloth? My body melted so naturally into the mattress, and for the first time, in an extremely long time, I slept quickly and for more than four hours.

Sitting up, I rub my eyes, shards of light entering through the curtains, and I assess my environment, to my right I see a uniform, neatly laid on the bed. I wear the fabrics, before inspecting the uniform clinging to my body, obviously woven from the richest if materials, each stitch with care and purpose. Blue seems to be the theme, blue tie, blue blazer, plaid blue skirt, but at least it's not ugly like the uniforms we had in England. Rolling my skirt up, teachers inspecting skirt lengths in secondary flash before my eyes. The skirt reaches my upper thigh, I undo the top button of my blouse so I don't feel chocked by the collar.

I was the epitome of the problem child in secondary, hated by some, loved by others, countless visits to the head teachers office, I was the one they wanted to fix, the countless attempts to get me counselling, to quote on quote 'help my pass my struggles and teach me to overcome my problems,'.

They didn't help. To my defence I did, I did try, but when I would start to open up a little, they wouldn't know how to react, my issues weren't minor cat fights, so they'd end up either feel sorry for me or tell me to 'get some fresh air, go on a walk' or some bullshit, that's when I saw that the education system is absolutely fucking useless.

I don't care to go to the extra effort, throwing my hair up into a half-arsed bun, I am content. I'm not here to impress anyone, and quite frankly, I don't care for their opinions, I plan on keeping in my own lane, not really a people's person.

After breakfast, Jonathon drives me to the school, I really like Jonathon, he seems so sweet, he asked about the type of music I'd want to listen to, and we generally spoke about how Heartsland was going, to which I didn't have an answer, cause I don't know yet. An unrest settles deep within me as the car comes to halt in front of a Hogwartesque castle like structure.

As Jonathon opens my door, I step out into the lions den, I mean I don't know what I expected, it definitely wasn't a castle, but then again, the parents must be pouring all their money into their dearest children, a long term investment with the hopes that their offspring becomes richer, more powerful than their predecessors.

Huddles of people swarm me as I begin to walk, an air of arrogance is prominent. The girls, look stunning I must say, with their designer bags and professionally designed faces by some world-renowned surgeon, they look fit to be on the cover of any magazine. I look down at my bruk-up shoes, my laces undone, I know I should buy some new shoes, but I still feel uncomfortable of spending money I didn't earn myself. The boys, seem to have their own manner of conduct, their own rules. It'll be interesting to see how interactions are in this new 'world'.
