Remember when the day were longer?
When the world was younger
We would go to the arcade after school
When staying up late was still cool
How we used to dread Sunday afternoon
Because blue Monday was waiting for us

Then there was English class
When 'putted' was still a word
And the shortest kid was always last,
the races to see who was fast
Being young sure was fun

Until the years came by fast
And we lost touch with the inner child
Had to learn how to swing on our own
And to brace for the storm all alone
Of coarse we found safety at home

We met people along the way
Some were there to stay
Some got left behind
But we always kept them in mind

Slowly reunions got smaller
As we got older
The unfortunate got bolder

But we still kept the memories
Of when the days were longer
And the world was younger
