Fire Within A Roar

Why?

I write when I feel inspired
When the waves have retired
Also when I'm not so tired

But back to feeling inspired
I write because my words add fire
A fire that keeps burning
Long after the coals have given up

But there comes a point
When all is said and done
And the heat starts to settle down
And the end of the page comes to close

Who am I to oppose
A closing line that I can
