General Sephiroth. The Great War God. Elite SOLDIER. Shinra's top tactician and the list goes on. But as of this moment the man who has saved me yet again from falling into an abyss of embarrassment. My clumsiness should be a sin but today I'm grateful. His contagious smile only forces me to give up my own. His strong arms still holding onto me; firm but gentle.

"Oh, sorry." I stammer.

"I've been running into you a bit more often, don't you think?" He grins pompously.

Since the night of the ball Sephiroth and I have been on very friendly terms. I have seen sides of him that, I swear, could only be imaginable. I'm not the only one that has taken notice, every single day since then, both Seloria and Crys have been asking questions. Each one is always answered with sarcasm or a smile.

"General. I swear every corner I turn your always there." I retort with a shy smile.

He looks at me, his brow raised, and his handsome grin still pasted on his face.

The General was dazzling today -- always, actually. He wore his Elite uniform which was dark as night with high collars that truly brought out his masculine jaw line. His many medals of accomplishments adorned his chest which proves that he himself is in his own standard. The aristocratic way that he carries himself sometimes puts me in awe, at times even intimidated.

He releases his hold and proceeds to gather the remaining papers that dropped onto the ground. His actions often threw me into a perplexed state of mind. As I stand there amazed at how the day was going I didn't notice him already towering over me. His eyes, again, not wavering and every time I look into them I fall into a spell. Initially, we both came to an agreement that what we wanted from each other was friendship but as my time with him grows I can't help but wonder if that is truly what I want.

"Where are you headed to?" He inquires.

"The Athenaeum. Aerith wanted me to research a certain Materia. You?"

He smiles and actions towards the path to the library and I diligently take his lead. His long legs that carried him across the hall matched its strides with mine. It's odd, his personality and actions that exuded his sovereign demeanor and his attitude that always moved with a sense of urgency was now matching its pace with my own. It made me smile to know that he was aware of me and that the smallest things pertaining to me he always took into consideration.

The hallways leading to the Athanaeum were colossal. The stone arches towered over us its high ceilings seeming so unreachable. Aged markings line each pillar, each one telling its own story. The sunlight radiating between the pillars which in turn setting a very amorous ambiance. There was a bit of a walk crossing from hallway to hallway one could get quite confused and before you know it lost. I have been through these hallways more than I can count and after awhile will find myself wandering but each time always finding something new.

As we maneuver our way around I start to notice several eyes falling onto us. Some were very intrusive while others dismissive. Their whispers behind my back were like screams and I felt it looming, hovering, - slowly trying to consume me. Sephiroth lightly caresses the back of my head its his way of saying "Do not mind those who do not matter." I knew these kinds of reactions were mere nothings to him; he is one who is able to coldly close his heart when needed and oddly enough when he does this it bothers me.

As we reach the entrance to the Athenaeum Sephiroth excuses himself with a smile and I walk into the building by myself. There was a curative that I was very curious about and after asking Aerith she advised me to further look into it. As I survey each aisle of the library curiously skimming through books that caught my attention I notice a hefty age-old book just a slightly above my reach. Each feeble attempt to reach for it put me more and more into a pessimistic disposition. As I was getting ready to walk away I watch as a hand with beautiful slender fingers reach above my head for the book with ease.
