Tranquil Beauty Chapter 18

She gently caressed the argent hair that made its way to his elegant face. He's been sleeping for sometime now and she wondered when he would wake so she could at least get some of her work started. Though deadlines were right around the corner she couldn't get herself to wake the man that made his place on her lap. He was sound asleep and it looked like he was going to stay that way for awhile. They've been through so much, so much pain, hurt, and suffering. They needed this, they both deserved this happiness. She remembers how clumsy they both were in the beginning with their feelings and embarrassing moments she wished she could relive again. As a silent giggle escapes her cherry lips she found that the man who has stolen her heart one too many times has opened his eyes.

He looks at her with awe wondering what he did to deserve this divine woman. He reaches up to caress her beautiful face his hands gently pressing on her adorable cheeks; she nuzzles his palm in return. They both share a smile and slowly she brings her lips to his. Her warmth comforted him, this is it - he thought. This is happiness.

He takes his hands and brings it to the back of her head his fingers intertwining with her *hair color* hair. He tenderly returns her kiss with a more passionate one, as if trying to prove his feelings for her physically. The feat turned him hot, her supple lips, her soft skin, and the warmth of her body. She's real, she's here, and she's all mine.

She pulls back gently her hands placed rightly on his chest and as she lets out a tiny laugh. He loved her laugh, he loved how she always tries to stop herself right after it happens, how her eyes slightly close when she does. He couldn't stop himself from pulling her back in for another embrace.

"Stop we'll wake the baby!" She says in a whisper

"We'll... I'm sure he would be excited to have another younger sibling." He says with a mischievous smile.

She gently places her forehead to his as both eyes look deeply into each other. He was content, he was living life in bliss. He takes another breath as he attempts to give her another kiss but before doing so he notices a tinge of red coming from her lips. He brushes his thumb upon her lips and finds that the red liquid is ... -blood?  He looks at her with concern her beautiful smile still pasted on her face.

Just then more blood hurled out of her mouth, the red liquor spilling from her lips, her eyes now bloodshot with pain. She grimaces in agony, her face losing all color it had. She grasps her stomach as a wound that was not there has now suddenly appeared. In a matter of seconds she is now drowning in her own blood.

He lays her down on the ground as she desperately clenches onto him her nails digging into his flesh as she gasps for air. Her eyes slightly rolling back as she whimpers his name one last time.

"...Sephiroth..."

Just then a sudden clash brings Sephiroth to wake and he realizes that it was just a nightmare. He didn't even know he was able to have nightmares he really must be losing his mind he thought.

"Sephir... oth... Seph...iroth... Sephiroth!" Aerith tries calling him from the other room of the airship.

The clamoring sounds in hull was loud and obnoxious, Sephiroth wondered how he was able to sleep through it. He looked out the tiny window offered to the group and he found that they were surrounded by thunderstorms, they were close.

"You seemed like you were having a bad dream. Are you ok?" Aerith asks.

"I'm fine. How much longer till we reach the location?" Sephiroth inquires while taking his finger to his temple to rub it calm.

"Not much farther, were almost there. Let's go over the plan again. So in just a few moments we'll drop you, Genesis, and Cloud in the water and you guys will swim the rest of the way to island. It'll be a climb but I have no worries that you three will be just fine. Once you are on land take out any ancillary weapons that can target the ships, when that is taken care of then Highwind will land and we'll go ahead with Phase Two." Aerith finishes as she looks steadfast into Sephiroth's eye.
