--SEPHIROTH'S EYES--
It was new day, another day of living, another monotonous day of doing the exact same thing I did yesterday. As I open my eyes I am greeted by the dull ceiling even after sitting up looking around everything is at its minimal. My white comforter, a white bed stand, white dresser, and a television set that's rarely used. As I slowly wake into consciousness I stretch my limbs to prepare myself for the day. As I ready my garments I recall that today was a testing day for a few lower class recruits. I chuckle at the idea that there are still some who honestly believe in this company and further my amusement at the thoughts of the different testing scenarios that I would create for them. Maybe this time a Behemoth with the lowest class Soldier and the lowest class Healer, or maybe a group of soldiers against one of the mighty Generals? As a few more twisted thoughts linger I make my way out the kitchen, which again, is at its minimal. The boundless repetitiveness of pouring myself coffee, then grabbing something to eat as I sit alone every morning is the atonement that I must pay for.
When the Great Battle happened I was set to kill and destroy those who opposed me. I wanted to throw the world into despair as it had done to me and become the god that these mere mortals needed. Though Aerith stopped Jenova's cell from taking over I know I still have the darkness within me, within all those who was implanted with Jenova's cell. Being "Healed" is what the Shinra Company and the world is calling what had happened to me. In all honesty I feel like I have fallen further down the hole. Instead of being a pet to the Shinra Company I am now a pet to the world. But living life like this is somewhat an improvement of what I had gone through before. All alone, constantly engulfed in darkness. As I take the last few bites of my breakfast I finish contemplating my life and head out the door.
With the events that happened a few years ago many still are afraid of me. I wouldn't have it any other way; I do not know how some can handle bothersome people and their daily need for friendship. I on the other hand prefer solitude and am glad that the people I associate with prefer the same.
Making my way down to my office I try to remind myself of the duties and tasks that I need to accomplish by today. I need to send Zack and Cloud out on a mission, a meeting with the leaders of Shinra Company and WRO, and then observing the testing for the 3rd Classes. Today would hopefully be busy enough to keep me away from my thoughts.
As I near my office both Angeal and Genesis were standing about. I know deep down Angeal and Genesis is a bit more content with the setting that we have now. Angeal is made to be a SOLDIER; he is dedicated and born to be a leader. Genesis is strong minded, strong willed, and is on a constant search for attention. The world had no problems accepting them back; they were welcomed with open arms. Both stand with great strength and now they hold an immense responsibility, they must "keep an eye" on me to ensure that nothing will be repeated from the past and if I ever go awry I would be surrounded by the strongest and best SOLDIERs that world can offer.
"Have any of you seen Zack and Cloud?" Sounding somewhat irritated, I told both those pups to meet me in my office and of course they wouldn't be here when I said.
"Nope, I think they're training with Seloria and Crys." Genesis says as he opens the book that he was carrying.
"Let's go." Angeal implies.
Without another word the three of us take a trip down to the VR Rooms. By the time we got there I see the lot standing right outside one of the training rooms. It looked like they just finished with their training, as their gear was either carried or lying by their side but whoever was in the room must have been doing an exceptional job as the lot is entertained.
"Ah! General! Sorry! Sorry! We wanted to watch (Readers Name) while she trained, she's doing a pretty good job!" Zack belted as he turns back around hooting and tooting about.
Angeal takes a look at the stats on the screen right outside the door. He takes a few more moments to analyze the data and suggests that both Genesis and I take a look. Stats were fairly well; whoever was in this room was battling a high level Behemoth with...me? My time here with the company I was rarely chosen for simulation battles. The simulation also takes into account our personalities and apparently I have tendencies to neglect my fellow comrade.
As my curiosity peaks I walk back around to observe this person through the window. As she comes around projecting a few status boosts to help the sim, she is knocked to the floor by the power of the Behemoth and the Masamune clashing. Long (hair color) hair that was easily swayed by the fabricated gusts, tiny waists that would have been easily torn apart if grabbed by the Behemoth, and limbs fragile enough to be crushed by my own hands. As she makes her way around the Behemoth she engulfs the Masamune with thunder and darts back around to get behind the colossal being.
I turn my attention to both Angeal and Genesis as the tiny human leaves them in awe. As Genesis turns my way he gives me a sly smirk, he knows I am intrigued but I will not give him the pleasure or entertain him on the fact. Just a mere toy I can entertain myself with in the future if I wanted to.
By the time I return my attention to the battle it seemed that it had finished. As the land forms slowly fade and the Behemoth and simulation Sephiroth dematerialize I finally have a full view of her.
An angelic face with a few scratches and bruises due to the battle, (eye color) eyes that shine in radiance against her (skin color) skin, cheeks rosy upon the heat of her body, and lips plump as a ripen cherry. Before the Sephiroth sim disappears she graces him with a lovely smile and lips two words, thank you. For a moment just a moment I wished to be the Sephiroth standing in front of her. A genuine smile and genuine fondness towards the sim, how can I possibly possess that? How can I monopolize that delicate smile to be my own only? Before any more twisted intentions could be thought I revert myself back. I am a being who is not allowed to have those kinds of thoughts, a being that is not allowed to feel warmth, to have intimate emotions.
I meet eyes with Angeal and give him an approving nod as I take my leave. Walking back to my office I receive a message from him requesting both my presence and Aerith's. As I walk into the office of course I see that Genesis is already prancing at the girl. Somewhat irritated I try to escalate the procedure, as I did not want to gratify him by my sudden ardency towards the girl.
Looking back as we part ways I see her standing there, the corridor engulfing her tiny figure. For a long time, such a long time, I have not seen anyone show me his or her benevolence and compassion. This girl, even only for a second shared her heart. Though there is a hint of fear in her eyes she shines a light even in the darkest depths of my soul. Such a tiny being and now I am consumed by her.
As time goes by I notice that I am, all of a sudden, aware of her. Walking down the hall it never caught my attention that there was a SOLDIER rec room beside my office until I found her in there, face buried in books about Materia and Mako. I see her outside my window when I am in my office as she leaves Headquarters to head to the Medic Department. When she is talking or laughing with her friends Seloria and Crys. When she is training with Aerith or other SOLDIERs. She presents her smile to everyone as if there is an absolute abundance of it. But when we meet eyes she never presents that tender expression that I desire. She is stricken with fear and always pulls her gaze away; for once I am bothered by it.
But I know deep down that it will never develop into anything. For a fact, I know that a humans fear is stronger than any other emotion that they may have. So I take this emotion that tried to escape my heart for a quick moment and release it back into the darkness, where it forever will stay and belongs.
