For the past few weeks I've been on several missions many of them have been chosen by either General Hewley or General Rhapsodos. Today was my first day back where I have  yet to be called to the conference room for an urgent briefing and I was okay with that. The missions were not complex, I  was always requested for recons and support and usually led by high tier 1st Classes, probably a favor that Sephiroth asked of the two.

I have not seen or heard from Sephiroth for some time now. He's been sent to recon a bandit group reaping havoc in several towns near Nibelheim and he's gone silent since then. I feel as if I've been the only one thinking about our moment in his office. During the briefing that day he was called on a mission and we were only able to say goodbye with our eyes, after that day it was never brought up again.

As I lay in bed thinking about his strong chiseled arms holding me and his warm breathe on my neck I found that I was starting to get frustrated with how everything has been proceeding. With the distance and time that we've put between then and now I'm starting to feel as if maybe it was just an action that happened during the heat of the moment. Which in turn frustrated me even more. Before I could throw myself further into the negative space that I was creating I hear someone knocking at my door.

"Hi, can I help you?" I ask in surprise.

General Rhapsados was at my door. He seemed in between irritated and amused and his expression confused me. His eyes, just like Sephiroth, seemed to gleam under the florescent lights.

"Hello...Are we just going to stare at each other all night?" He asks with a smirk on his face.

He politely invites himself in as he hands me the massive folder that he was holding. He sits himself at my dining table and helps himself to the few fruits in the bowl. After making himself comfortable he gestures for me to join him. He grabs the folder and starts to rummage through the pile of paper work.

"Here. Do you see this? There is something going on in this town. There's been movement and I'm positive that we'll find something here. You've heard of the bandits right?"

I nod to acknowledge both the information being given to me and that I've been in the loop of information that's been circulating through Shinra.

Supposedly, there is a bandit group that has been harassing several towns. At first it seemed as if it were troubled people stealing resources and such. Soon many noticed that people were disappearing, -kidnappings. Then just recently deceased bodies were appearing some found near the river, -drowned, some found in the forest, -buried and hidden, some were saved and was able to return to town but they were too traumatized to speak. There were many speculations but nothing conclusive. Genesis showed me enough proof. Proof that this was really happening, bodies that were dismembered, men and women that were beaten and abused, and the images of the traumatized victims, their eyes showing the torture and pain they went through while they were in captivity.

I settle myself into my chair and contemplate the situation. Why are these people being taken? Why are they being tortured and killed? Why are some being kept alive? The last and most important questions was, why was Genesis here and telling me all of this?

"I need you on this with me. I asked Tifa and Aerith if they could come as support but Tifa is out with Cloud and Aerith is meeting up with Sephiroth." He states, his tone with a hint of snarky.

"Aerith is meeting ... - with Sephiroth?" I asked.

"Hm. Out of all the information I just gave you, about the bandit group, the victims, and the file, Sephiroth is what caught your attention? ... -Are you jealous?" His face now lit with amusement.
