Narrator pov

Miles, Flora, and Ava were going on a walk

Miles wanted to properly show Ava around, especially after the kind thing she did for him yesterday

"Your friends must love it here" Ava said to flora "I have no friends" Flora said "well I can be your first" Ava said and flora laughed "maybe" she said and Ava nodded

They then walked into the pond area now seeing a crow eat a dead fish

Ava pov

Miles ran up to it and we ran after him

"Aww" flora said sadly while covering her mouth

Miles then stomped on it making us jump back he then stomped on it repeatedly "miles!" I yelled "nothing should have to suffer" miles said "miles, you shouldn't have done that in front of flora!" I said and he glared at me

"She's my sister" he said "miles, that doesn't matter...that may be traumatizing for her" I said and he walked away

I got down towards floras height and I rubbed the hair out of her face "you okay?" I asked and she nodded "can we play dolls?" She said and I nodded "I have to talk to miles, then we could play dolls" I said and she nodded

I grabbed her hand and we continued to walk but this time after miles

"Miles" I said and he turned around "what?" He snapped and I frowned

"Let's head back.." I said "I'll be back in a minute...you guys go ahead" he said while looking down "miles-" he cut me off "just go Ava" he said and I jumped at him using my name

"O-ok" I said and I walked away

Flora swung are hands back and forth as we walked

"Are you and my brother dating?" Flora asked and I was dumbfounded

"How do you know what that is?" I asked "nic, she talks about you 2 while making breakfast, and then when miles come she acts like nothing happened" flora said and I gasped

"We're not dating...we're...I don't know" I said "friends?" She asked "you could say that" I said and she nodded "well you and nic are my friends" she said and I smiled

"So you thought of it?" I asked "Yea...your nice" she said and I laughed "since when did Nicole get called her nickname and I didn't" Ava joked "she said I could call her it, so I do" she said and I smiled "well...you could call me aves" I said and she nodded "okay" she said with a smile

Narrator pov

Ava waited in the in her room with her door open waiting for miles to return

He hasn't came back and it was about 30 minutes

She started to get worried even though she knew he was safe and could fight back by himself

She just wanted to talk to him after what happened by the pond

She knew he was wrong for doing it but she knew he was just being himself

Soon the front to door making her sigh in relief

She waited until she heard footsteps; she started acting like she was doing anything

Once he walked past her room she got up and walked out "miles" she said and he turned around

"We need to talk" she said "about what?" He asked "about me making you mad by the pond earlier" she said and he shook his head "no, I was wrong, that was wrong for me to do it in front of a little girl" he said and I smiled

"See...you're changing miles" she said and he looked down "no I'm not, my bipolar ways still exist Ava, it happened a hour ago" he said and she walked closer to him "but your getting better, you didn't hurt me" she said

And he smiled "and you're smiling more, I've never seen you smile this much, so therefore you're changing in some type of way" Ava said and he nodded

"You think you could really help?" He asked and she nodded "I'll do anything to help you miles, I really care for you" she said and he grabbed her waist and pulled her close

She looked in his eyes and she wrapped her arms around her neck and they pulled each other close

Embracing each other in a long hug

She then pulled away and they froze looking in each others eyes

"Can I kiss you?" Miles asked and she nodded

He leaned in and their lips crashed together

His being soft and cold from being outside for such a long time

Hers being soft and warm

It fit perfectly

"Get a room guys, we have a 7 year old in the house do you think she wants to see this!?" Nicole joked and they pulled away immediately at the sound of her voice

"See what?" Flora asked while walking out of her room "nothing-just then dancing horribly" Nicole came up with a quick lie and flora smiled

"You're right, I wouldn't want to see that" flora joked while walking back into her room and Nicole headed down stairs

"Come here" miles said and pulled her in his room and she smiled

"What do you need miles?" She asked "I want to get to know you more" he said and she smiled "alright" she said and they laid on his bed

They both laid on their backs while looking at the ceiling

"Ok...I'm Miles Fairchild and I'm 16" he said and they both laughed "I'm Ava Matthews and I'm 16" she said "when's your birthday?" She then asked "July 3rd 2002" he said "yours?" He asked "September 2nd 2002" she said "I'm 2 months older than you" he laughed "that's a good thing" she said and he playfully rolled his eyes

Ava then turned her back towards the door; now looking at miles while he still stared at the ceiling

"Why'd your hurt me?" She asked taking his attention from the ceiling

"What?" He asked "why'd you push me into

"I...I have these voices, they tell me to do things I know I shouldn't do, but I can't stop myself, it's like they control my body" he said and she started frowning

"I know, I'm crazy and you'd probably date that Brian guy" miles said and she smiled "are you jealous?" Ava asked with a smile "what makes you think that I'm jealous?" He asked "the fact that you brung him up, and broke my phone when I was texting him" she said and smiled with a laugh

"I'm sorry, I'll asked Nicole to drive us back into town tomorrow and I'll buy you a new phone" Miles told her "about that, why don't you have a phone?" Ava asked "because I don't need one, I have a life and a horse, I have money-I may sound like a douche but I don't want to be on things like that, the voices wouldn't allow that Ava" he said

And Ava frowned "I get it, it's fine" she said and he kissed her forehead and she laughed "what are we?" She asked "what ever you want us to be" he said and she smiled

"I know what I want is to be" she said "and whats that?" He asked with a smirk and she intertwined their fingers "together" she said and miles smiled "I hoped you were going to say that" he said with a smile
