Miles didn't know how to feel, he had mixed emotions about his guardian passing away
He didn't feel like nothing was missing, but the thought of him not having a proper guardian broke his heart
He's lost so many people in life, it's getting old but some how they still hit the same why, it still hurts a little
He thinks he shouldn't react because he's so used to it but no, he still reacts
"Miles, I promise it'll get better soon" Ava said to the boy who was laying in his bed; numb
Her arms remained around him as he stared at his window "I'm fine" he said blankly making avas heart break
She knew he wasn't, he was pushing his feelings away and she didn't want him to do that
"Miles, talk to me, you promised me that you'll open up" she said and he sighed knowing he wasn't quite ready
"Please" she said while caressing the side of his face
"I've lost too many people in my life Ava, I'm used to it, I just don't know why I still cry or even feel sad" he spoke truthfully "it's because you care, miles, if you didn't you wouldn't feel this way" ava said and miles shook his head "she was only my guardian, she didn't do anything, she paid a chiefs and maids to come over and do anything, she was no help" miles said "but she did help you live, miles you care, but the voices are telling you otherwise" Ava said and miles sighed deeply
"I just want you to open up miles, I know you can...I know you can be the best person I can ever ask for-" a voice cut Ava off "guys I'm back!" They heard Nicole's voice and miles looked at her "you can go" he said lowly and she shook her head "come on, miles, let's go" she said while holding her hand out and he sighed "I'm fine.." she said and she frowned "you sure-" he sisters voice cut her off
"Guys!?" They heard "go, Ava" he said with a nod and she walked out
She walked down to meet her sister
"Where's flora?" Nicole asked "she taking a nap" Ava said and Nicole eyes widened "flora, taking a nap?" Nicole teased "she was tired from the long events" she said "what long events?" Nicole asked and Ava eyes widened "um-we-um picked flowers, and ran around" Ava said
She lied about those events, yes it happened but it that wasn't why flora was taking a nap, it was because flora didn't sleep as well after seeing miles hurt Ava
It messed up her sleeping schedule, they were trying to get it back on track but it just wouldn't work
"That explains those pink flowers" Nicole said with a laugh and Ava nodded
"Heres your close and I'm going to my room to relax" Nicole added while pointing to the 2 luggage's that sat beside her luggage's Ava nodded to her sister and grabbed her heavy luggage's and slowly and carefully walked up the steps behind her sister
"So how long are we staying for?" Ava asked "long enough to where I can find them a new guardian, or get a house" Nicole said and it took Ava back by surprise "get a house? So you actually thought about it?" Ava asked and Nicole nodded "well of course, mom brought up the conversation about me getting a house so I might as well since mom and dad are gonna help pay for it" Nicole explained and Ava smiled "I'm glad you made your decision" Ava said and Nicole laughed "more like mom and dad did" Nicole said making both of them laugh
They went their separate ways into their room and they lazily put there luggage's to the side
Nicole laid back in her bed while scrolling to her phone while Ava went back to miles' room
She knocked on his door and opened it slightly, she looked to see him facing the window while laying down
Ava walked over to the boy and looked over his shoulder and her eyes adjusted to his face
It was calm, he was asleep, Yea he fell asleep quite fast, but it was the best for him, he didn't feel like crying anymore, he didn't want to cry
Ava sighed softly and sat down and rubbed his back lightly, she knows the boy had been through a lot
She could tell, especially after hearing all the people he's lost, him getting expelled, him getting controlled by voices
It was all crazy to the girl, but she knew it was him and she would have to except him for who he is
In fact she loves miles for the way he was
She would only want to change his abusive ways and that was all
He wasn't bad, he had a great personality from what she's seen and she wants to see it all the time
But the boy just changes, a lot
She laid down beside him and looked out the window
A instinct in him made him turn around and wrapped his arm around her and her eyes widened in happiness
Her hands fell perfectly to his face and her thumb traveled back and forth on his face
"I'm going to help you, trust me" she said and she kissed his forehead softly
His arm tightened around her waist feeling more comfortable
Ava felt the comfort too
She didn't feel this evilness or the abusive side of miles, she felt the happy and comforting miles and she loved it that way
Even if he was just asleep she still felt a good presents in miles
She wanted it to remain that way, she loved the way it felt, she wanted their relationship to extend, she didn't want it to fail like it did the first time
She wanted them to built up into a better level of knowing each other before they would extend there relationship
