Narrator pov (Friday afternoon)

Ava rode down the long road

She was excited to see flora, she missed the little girl

Ava stop waiting for the gate to open

She turned down her music and the gate open she slowly pulled in and drove to the front of the house

It was always empty in front

She got out of her car confidently and she knocked on the door

She waited for a few minutes, no one answered making her knock again

The door opened

Ava looked up to see Macey

"Hi" Ava said "ugh" Macey groaned and walked away from the door "thank god, I wouldn't have been able to keep a nice act anyway" Ava said and walked inside the house closing the door

"Here for the little brat?" Macey asked "no, I'm not here for you, I'm here for flora" Ava said and she walked up the stairs and saw floras room door closed

She walked up to the door and knocked softly

A few seconds later the door opened and flora looked up to see Ava

"AVA" flora yelled and jumped up and gave her a hug "hi flora" ava said noticing that flora dropped the 'mommy' saying

"Do you want to come over for the week?" Ava asked "Yea, of course!" Flora said making Ava laugh "ok, well you have to pack and i also have to tell miles that you're leaving with me" Ava said and flora nodded "i can pack my clothes" Flora said "you sure?" Ava teased "yes!" Flora said and Ava nodded "okay, I'll be right back" Ava said and she walked back downstairs

Feeling cold wind brush her arm

She turned around looking to see nothing and not feel anything

She walked into the living room to see Macey in the couch

"Wheres miles?" She asked Macey not wanting to start another conversation with the negative girl

"Why?" She asked "because I need to let him know that I'm taking flora for the week, unless you'd tell him" Ava said while rolling her eyes "fine...I'll tell him" she said "fine, it's not like I wanted to start an awkward conversation with him, and I definitely didn't want to hear about him asking me to help him with you guys' breakup" Ava said with a smirk

Mac try was being petty and rude, so Ava could only return it back to her

Ava walked back upstairs and starting helping flora pack

She wanted flora to have as much fun as she can, she already could tell that flora didn't have fun here with only miles and Macey, she wanted flora to break that boredom shell

So once flora was packed they headed downstairs

"Bye" Ava said and walked out of the house

Flora and Ava got in the car

Ava started the car and pulled off with the music playing

In the rearview mirror she could see miles on his horse

She looked back at the rode and drove off that night

(Later that night)

Ava and flora laid in bed watching tv

Suddenly flora turned around and looked at Ava

"You aren't my mom are you?" Flora asked "Yea, I'm not-but who told you that?" Ava confessed, she didn't want to lie to the little girl

"Macey, she said that you were still a kid too, and that my mommy isn't here" flora said and Ava blood boiled

"Yea, your mommy is on a long trip, but Macey had no right to tell you that" Ava said "why? She'll be back right?" Flora asked and Ava heart broke

"No-but I'll alway be here for you okay? I'll be your mommy-if you want, it doesn't matter if I'm not, I'll take care of you flora...okay?" Ava asked with her eyes watering "okay" flora said and Ava sniffled

"Why are you crying?" Flora asked "because I love you" Ava said and flora smiled "I love you too, Ava" she said and hugged her

Ava wasn't lying, she did love the girl, but she found it sad that flora barely even knew her mom

She wanted flora to have a mom figure so she was willing to take that place even if she was only 16

She was willing to make this little girl happy, she wanted her to live her life
