Narrator pov

"Guys wake up, it's dinner time!" Nicole entered miles room making Ava eyes open while miles was still asleep

"Awww you guys are cuddling" Nicole smiled widely making miles eyes open

He was surprised about the position they were in, his arms were wrapped around her waist while her face was in the crook of his neck

"We'll be right down" Ava said and Nicole nodded and walked out

Nicole was proud of her sister, she thought she would never find the right person, but Nicole felt this one, she knew miles was the one for Ava

Miles and Ava walked down the stairs to see plates filled with food

"You really showed off today didn't ya?" Ava asked with a laugh "you know it, I bought more food while I was in town...so I decided to make a big meal" Nicole said and miles smiled lightly; still being tired

"You guys are gonna be up all night, the nap you all took wasn't the brightest idea" Nicole said "well we didn't have nothing much to do, and we were all sleepy for some reason" miles said and Ava nodded

"Well tomorrow we should do something fun, something adventurous" Nicole smiled "since when did you like being adventurous?" Ava asked her sister

"Since today, I'm trying new things since we might be here for a while" Nicole said and flora smiled "are you guys staying?" Flora said happily and Ava nodded "yes, for a little longer-until we find another good guardian for you guys" Ava said to the little girl "Nicole's old enough" flora said while getting happy

The 2 sisters didn't know what to say, they just nodded and smiled

Miles knew the 2 didn't want to stay, it hurt him but he didn't want to show it, he didn't want to feel weak in front of them

"Yea, nic is getting a house soon" Ava said and floras eyes widened "yea, and you guys are moving in, I'll be your guardian" Nicole said and avas faced dropped

"Really?!" Ava asked surprised

She wasn't even moving in but she was still super excited for flora to finally live a normal little girl life

And she wanted miles to be away from all this dark stuff and to move into a fresh new, bright house

She didn't want him to continue his dark ways, they were really scaring her

"You don't have to, I know you don't want to" miles said and staring at his plate not knowing how to express himself

Nicole furrowed her eyebrows

"What do you mean? I do care, I care so much about you 2, and you guys have been through way to much for such a long him, so now everything's gonna get better" Nicole said truthfully to the 2 siblings while Ava sat and smiled widely

"That's great!" Flora said making her brother smile at her happiness

Miles really cared for flora, he showed it sometimes, he just doesn't know how to show it now, especially after flora catching him choke Ava to death

But he's hoping he can make it up to his sister, because she's the only thing he's got when it comes to family

Days later

Miles did it again

He snapped

Ava thought back to what ms grose said about miles

And she was wrong

He wasn't the sweetest boy ever, he could be at times, but now wasn't the time

It was late, Ava was checking in on him; she heard loud thuds from his room

But she didn't know miles was gonna snap

"Miles what was that noise?" She asked as her ear was placed on the door

She got no response

"Miles?" She said and she began to feel nervous she was going for the handle then a strange force held her back

She felt hands all around her

She didn't know if this was real or it was just her being delirious

She then started to freak out and pull on the hands that tugged her body down

She felt herself suffocating due to the hands having a tight grip everywhere around on her including her neck

Her eyes shut closed quickly and they opened up to be back inside of her room and miles standing over her

"Bad dreams?" He asked and she looked around quickly "dream? That couldn't-have been" she choked out; out of horror

"It was a dream" miles corrected her instantly with anger in his voice making her jump at the sound of the way he put the words so harsh

"What was that noise miles? It was in your room" Ava said "there was nothing, Ava" he said making her get the chills with how he used her name; which he rarely did

Everything went blank making her gasp for air

She was in the room, the dark room covered in plants

She got the chills again

She was confused to what was all happening at this point

"Miles!!" She yelled being terrified by this dark place

She ran and ran

And it felt as if she was still running in place

"Help! Miles!" She yelled and started losing her breath quickly

This time, everything went dark, for a while

Ava opened her eyes to see bright lights and heard the same repeated beat; heart monitor

"She's waking up" she heard a little girls voice "aves?" She heard her older sisters voice her eyes landed on Nicole and Flora in chair next to her

"Where am I?" Ava asked "the hospital, remember you got your staples removed, they had to put you to sleep since you couldn't handle being awake" Nicole said and laughed

"Weren't-we just at home-it was night time" Ava said being highly confused "no, we left at 12pm it's 4:30pm" Nicole said "wheres miles then?" Ava asked "he stayed home" she said and Ava just stared at the floor not knowing what to say or do

It couldn't have been a dream...
