Narrator pov

"So you're telling me that he is here, like right now?" Bella asked and she nodded while breathing quickly

"Ava, don't let anxiety take over, we have to go to 2nd period" Bella said while patting her best friends back and Ava nodding while trying to control his breath

So they walked down the hall while talking "he has to drive about 2 hours to get here, why would he go this low?" Ava said and Bella nodded "love makes you crazy" Bella said making avas stomach turn "I'll see you at lunch" Ava said while walking into her classroom

Mostly all seats were taking, she sat in the front on the left, it was the 2nd to last seat she looks around making eyes contact with her enemy; Macey

She turned back around and groaned already hating this day, she enjoyed the reunion with Bella but she was ready to leave, she already disliked school because of Macey and Miles

She felt like Macey set this whole thing up, maybe miles would because he knew the school she was going to, she was just confused to why would miles want to go to a public school

Ava and Bella were both at lunch

Ava starred at her food while Bella ate her fries while observing her best friend

"What's wrong?" Bella asked "I can't eat, miles and Macey are both running through my head, like why would they go so low to do this?" Ava said and Bella rubbed her back "it's fine, they're just...trying to make you jealous, which you in fact shouldn't be" Bella said and ava nodded while her attention went to the door to see them entering

"Speaking of the devils" Ava said and she felt someone sit next to her to see Cora

"You like him?" Cora asked Ava and she shook her head "why?" Bella asked; jumping into the conversation "nothing, I just see her staring at him all the time" Cora smirked "stop-I know him, we aren't on hood terms though" Ava said and Cora nodded

"Why are you eve talking to us?" It suddenly h it Ava "Miles had nothing to do with you, he has a girlfriend" Bella said and Ava nodded

Ava had told her everything, except for the being abused part

Bella was someone that Ava could really trust

"Well, I'll see you 2 later, I don't know why you guys have an attitude" Cora said and she walked away

Ava raised her hand earning the teachers attention "yes?" The teacher said "may I go to the bathroom?" Ava asked "yes you may, heres the pass" the teacher said and she got up and got it

She walked outside of the room getting hit with coldness in the halls

She hugged herself and walked to the bathroom, she then checked the time on her phone

2:42pm

She gets out at 3:05, she was so happy for this day to be over

She couldn't handle being at school, she wasn't a fan of school, to be honest no one really was

She didn't really have to use the bathroom, she just wanted to get out of the class, she always used the bathroom excuse just to get out of class

She splashed water on her face and rubbed patted it dry with her black hoodie

She then walked out the see miles roaming the halls

He smirked at her and started walking towards her, she felt her heart stop but she acted as if she didn't see him

He stopped in front of her making her stop

"This school is actually cool" miles said making Ava sigh "what are you up to?" She cut right to the point "what do you mean?" He asked "miles, I know you did this on purpose, are you trying to mentally destroy me?" Ava snapped

"No, I would never want to do that, I just missed you" he said and looking down and she shook her head while looking anywhere except his eyes

"Enough with your bullshit, miles, you have a girlfriend, don't you?" She spat and he nodded "I do, but, Ava...I'm telling the truth, I am not trying to mess with you" miles said "I'm not falling for your mind games, I do think I can trust you" she said "I understand but i mean no harm to you or your family, and flora really misses you" miles said and Ava nodded "tell flora that I love and miss her, good day, Fairchild" Ava said and walked away

She felt pretty confident as the boy watched her walk away back to her class, she was proud of herself for not falling into his trap, she couldn't put herself in that position again, she already has one thousand times and she wasn't happy about that

But she was heading for a new start, and so far she was pretty proud of herself

Miles on the other didn't like this Ava, he thought she was still easy to talk to, but he could tell that she was shutting him out

And he didn't want that happening, he wanted Ava to still be in his life, but he knew that he was messing it all up

And he knew everything would go crashing down at once

And he didn't want that to happen, he couldn't lose someone else that was really important to him

He was getting frustrated with everything; himself, Macey, Ava shutting him out

But he knew she was doing it for her own safety and heart

But he wanted convince her that he wasn't the old miles, he had a new side of him that she hasn't experienced and he wanted her to know that he changed and he means every word he says to her
