37: Truth be Told

Sakura flinched a little when she felt the bag in her arms shake. She could feel Sasuke's body struggling to wriggle out of her grasp.
Sakura let out a raspy sigh and she straightened her back a little. Kakashi and Naruto were walking with her to meet with the Hokage. Kakashi was keeping a close eye on Sakura just in case she decided that escaping was a better idea.

Naruto was still laughing a little at Sakura's old woman disguise, at least it worked.

Ever since Sakura had told Kakashi about time traveling and her disastrous life since then, ever thing had become a little get more tense.

Maybe they're kind of unsettled to know that the older version of me has replaced the younger me.. I wonder if my other consciousness is still around here somewhere. I wonder if I can transmit anything to it?

Sakura tried searching in my brain for any voice or being of some sorts, she didn't have any luck however and just felt her thoughts floating around. Sakura stopped in her tracks for a moment to touch her forehead.

I wonder where the purple diamond went..

Since a long time ago during the Chunin exams, her seal had faded away and was locked back into her mind. Sakura could only use the power that her body gave her, it made her incredibly weak from her older form who was in another timeline. Sakura continued walking when she felt the stares of villagers passing by, when she got back over to Naruto and Kakashi Naruto questioned her about what took so long.
Sakura only waved it off and said it was just a little thing to deal with another time.

When Sakura was minding her own business she heard a voice in the back of her head,
Hello? Hello?! Where am I?! Help!

Sakura froze up and Naruto looked at her with concern. Sakura moved her shaky hand to feel her forehead, nothing was wrong with her.
Please! Where am I! I can't see!

Sakura gripped her head and continued to walk forward to not be suspicious, but she noticed something quite familiar about the voice.
What are you?
Sakura tried to communicate with the voice.

To her surprise it responded back.
Who are you!? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!
No, wait, tell me who you are first, I'll help you, okay?
....Why is it so dark in here, I can't feel my body.

Sakura rubbed her temples as she closed the connection with the voice. They had already arrived in front of the Hokage's building, Kakashi opened the door for Naruto and Sakura.
They entered the building and were immediately greeted by the guards that were posted in front of the door, they checked everyone's pockets and let them pass. Sakura noticed that one of the guards was looking at her with suspicion, that made her break a sweat a little.

Sakura looked at Kakashi, "I don't think they're buying it." She whispered. Kakashi closed his eyes and shook his head, "No, I think it's the bag, those guards are trained to notice even a hint of ninjutsu. You need to work on your invisibility Justu."

The team passed many guards as they walked up the stairs to the office, when they finally reached their destination the door was opened by one guard. The Hokage looked up to see Sakura and her teammates, he looked at Sakura strangely and then motioned for them to come in.
