LOGAN'S REVENGE

CHAPTER 40

   Samantha locked the wine cellar and put the key in her pocket. She had tricked Marlow's guys and had locked them in the wine cellar. They banged the door and screamed at her to let them out. She reloaded her gun and went back to look for Seth. She had to be ready for anything. Seth was very ruthless.

    She stepped into the hallway that led to the other side of the house where she had heard gunshots earlier. She said a silent prayer for Logan and his siblings to be safe. She was lost in her thoughts when Seth appeared in front of her. She was startled and took a step back.

    “ Did you miss me you little witch? I certainly did. It's high time I took you out of the story. ” He cocked his gun and pointed it at her.

    “ Why don't you pull the trigger you bastard? You're a weakling and you don't have the balls for it. Why don't we settle this with our fists. Fight fair for once in your life. ” She said.

   He laughed and dropped his gun. She did the same too. He came at her with a blow that sent her backwards. She recovered quickly and lunched several blows at his face and ribs. He yelled out in pain. She lurched at him and gave him a blow to the head that sent him backwards. She went to him and held his chin up. There was blood dripping down his face from his nose and mouth.

    “ Next time when you fight with a woman, you learn to always fight fair. ” She said to him

     “ I never fight fair you witch. There's always an ace up my sleeve. You're a goner. ”  He took her by surprise when he removed a dagger from his jacket and stabbed her with it. She stared at him in shock.

    She stepped back from him and removed the dagger and pressed the wound. He stood up and took the gun.

   “ Why don't you finish the job? Pull the trigger and kill me. ” She fell to her knees and stared at him.

   He was about to pull the trigger when someone fired a bullet at his back. Another to his chest and one to his stomach. He screamed and fell down flat on his face. Logan and Robert rushed to Samantha's side. She fell into Logan's arms.

    “ Hold on Sam. I beg you hold on. You can't leave me. I've got so much to tell you. I love you so much. Stay with me. I should have protected you. I'm so sorry.”  He cried. He carried her. Gosh! She was losing so much blood. She opened her eyes and touched his cheek.

    “ I'm sorry too. I should have told you how I felt sooner. Maybe we could have had a chance. I love you Logan. ” She said and closed her eyes again.

   “ Don't die on me Sam or I'll never forgive you. I need you by my side. Fight for your life. I beg you. ” He cried as he carried her out of the house.

     “ Someone get me a freaking doctor. She's dying. ” He screamed as he got outside. The paramedics rushed to his side and took her from him. He didn't want to let her go but Robert held him back.

    Logan looked around him. It was finally over. His whole plot for revenge was finally over. The whole place was swamped with the police and they had begun to seal off the house from the reporters that had gathered. He walked over to where Katherine was standing with Adams. She had a blanket around her. She ran into his arms as soon as she saw him. He held on to  her tightly.

   “ I'm so relieved that you're fine. I heard more gunshots. Don't worry about Sam. She'll be fine. ”

   “ Where's Marie? Why didn't you go with her to the hospital? ”

   “ She's been taken to the hospital. She'll be fine. She's in safe hands. I was worried about you. I want us to go together. ”

   Logan looked over at Robert and Angela. She was crying in his shoulders as he held her. He was whispering softly to her. Poor girl. She had lost her father and almost lost her brother.

   “ I helped your brother escape my love. Anthony's going to be fine.  We should worry about Andre. It's all over. ” He held her tightly.

   “ You can all go to the hospital. I'll round off everything here and join you later. ” Adams said.

    This family had seen it all. It was finally over. It was time for a new beginning.
