It was the day before opening night and everyone in the cast was currently on a dinner break. But Mel wasn't hungry, she just couldn't stop thinking about what went down between her and Ricky last week.

"Does he still have feelings for me, but I guess the real question is have I ever stop loving him" Mel thought. All these thoughts in her head need to be heard one way or another and the best way for her to do that was through music.

Since they moved back to East High to finish their production, Mel made her way to the music room where she knew nobody would be.

She found the piano and started playing a song that described the situation she was in.

A/N ( I had to change up some of the pronouns so it fits, the song is lookalike by Conan Gray btw)

"Let's go back to the summer night .

When we met eyes, it's like a movie line

Kissing' underneath the city lights

But now you're laying in another girls arms

She sang, tears making their way to her eyes. All she was Thinking about was Ricky, but little did she know he could hear her down the hall, and went to see what was going on. When he arrived at the doorway he stood there quietly and just listened.
'
Cause I'm all gone

But when you look in her eyes

Do you think?

And when you look at that smile

Do I cross your mind?

I know in your head

You see me instead
'
Cause she looks a lot like I did back then

Baby don't lie

I'm just a lookalike

Ricky was in a state of shock he couldn't believe how much the lyrics related to the situation he and mel where currently in. Then it hit him she's singing this song about him

Can't undo what's already done

Can't compete 'cause I've already won

S' this time, "It's really love"

But honey, you're not fooling anyone

Don't you know we're done?

But when you look in her eyes

Do you think of mine?

And when you look at that smile

Do I cross your mind?

I know in your head

You see me instead
'
Cause she looks a lot like I did back then

Baby don't lie

I'm just a lookalike

And I'll admit that I sometimes, maybe, might
