Chapter twenty six

Luke’s P.O.V

“Please say something Marie.” I said as I grabbed her face and stroked her cheek. Suddenly I felt something grab my arm and turn me around. I saw a glimpse of Bryan before I was in Marie’s arms. I then felt my face burn badly. I quickly got up to where we were standing face to face and finally realized why he punched me. He had heard everything I said to her. Oops. I held me hands up in front of me in defense to show that I didn’t want to fight him. He was still looking at me like he was about to punch me again so I said “I don’t want to start anything here man.”

 I fixed my tie and shirt and waited for him to reply. He looked like he was about to explode and he did “you kiss my girl, and don’t want to start anything?!” I rubbed my neck and shook my head to clear my thoughts and to try and help the pounding in my head from the blow. Marie is silent behind me, in shock no doubt. Bryan looks between us with a face as red as a tomato. Oh no, he’s not done. “Well fuck you! You’re stupid piece of shit. You know what? You to deserve each other! A low life dumbass and a slut! That’s a great match!” He said with anger dripping from his voice.

 After I registered that he was calling the love of my life a slut I leaped at him with anger in me and I unloaded all that anger on his face. I punched him so much that I lost count. I realized after a few secondsThat Marie was trying to tear me apartment from him. “Luke stop! Stop don’t do anything you’re going to regret!” I immediately got off of him and yelled “Don’t you ever call Marie a slut ever again!” I then spit on him and then looked at Marie who was crying softly beside me. She throws my arm over her shoulder and then puts her arm around my waist.

 “Let me take you to the bathroom and look at your face.” She says with a small smile. We get into the bathroom and she wets a towel and puts it up to my left eye brow. I look at her with pure love in them. She looks into my eyes and says “how do you feel? Are you dizzy?” I shake my head at her and grab her hand from my face. I kiss it tenderly and gaze into her eyes. “I’m so sorry I did that in front of you.” I say to her honestly. She shook her head dismissing my apology. “You weren’t the one out of hand, he was. I’m sorry that he did this to you.” I smirked and replied “I think I got him back pretty good.” She smiled and playfully slapped chest. I grabbed her hand to where both of them were in my hands “Marie I love you.” I blurted out. She looked shocked but pleased. “I love you too Luke.”

 I pulled her into a passionate kiss filled with love and then pulled away. “Good.” I smirked happily. She giggled and then said “we should probably go back out to the wedding party. We are the maid of honor and best man after all.” I smiled my goofy smile and nodded. But before she opened the door I grabbed her and got down on one knee. Her jaw dropped and her eyes nearly popped out of head. I laughed “No no nothing like that. I just wanted to ask you if you would be my girlfriend.” She held her hand to her chest and let out a long breath. I looked at her expectantly and she replied “Oh! Right, yes of course I will be your girlfriend.”

 I picked her up and swung her around in a circle. She giggled the whole time and when I put her down I grabbed her under her chin tenderly and kissed her for a few minutes. I felt her knees go weak so I held her tighter and pulled away “Okay, we can go now.” I said and she giggled some more but followed me out of the bathroom.

Marie walked over to Sarah and Ryan’s table and I pulled the chair out for her. She smiled at Sarah and I went to sit on the other side of Marie. Sarah’s eye popped out of her head in shock and Ryan had a big grin on his face. “So.. you two? Finally together? For good?” Sarah asked grabbing onto Marie’s hands. Marie nodded her head happily and I took her right hand in mine with a trumpet smile. “Finally!” Sarah squealed in excitement.  Then Marie told Sarah the whole story and I went to the other side of Ryan and sat down.

Ryan patted me on the back and said “It’s about damn time. What happened to Bryan?” I shrugged and replied “He overheard me apologizing to Marie about yesterday and then punched me.” A look of rage took over Ryan when I said that he punched me so I held up my hand and said “don’t worry, I handled it. After he called Marie a slut I lost it and then went ape shit on his ass. Marie then pulled me off and then we went into the bathroom to fix my face and I told her I loved her, she said it back and then I asked to be my girlfriend.”

I took a sip of the campaign in front of me and looked at Ryan. “Well good for you man! You finally manned up and told her.” He said, then we clinked our glasses and had a great time the rest of the night.

Marie’s P.O.V

“I still can’t believe that Sarah is married.” I said as Luke pressed the elevator door to go up to my apartment. “Yeah I can’t believe that Ryan is married.” He chuckled. “So, I haven’t been to your apartment since before the Ireland trip.” He stated as the elevator doors opened. I laughed “well the other thing different now is that I’m going to live here all by myself now.” I said with mock horror. “What will we do without any disruptions?” I asked jokingly. He chuckled and then lightly pushed me against the wall by my apartment door. He started kissing my neck lightly and nibbling at it. “I think we can think of something.” He said with a throaty growl.

We entered my apartment and go into my room undressing each other the whole way there. We go into my room and slam the door, he pushes me onto the bed and pulls off the rest of my clothes. I take his pants off and then his boxers. “Are you sure you want to do this?” Luke asks me as he left trails of kisses down my throat. I nod in response and then he pulls out a condom from his wallet. “Do you always carry around one?” I ask laughing. “You can never be too safe.” He whispers into my ear as he nibbles on it. And then we melted into each other and had sex for the first time.

Luke’s P.O.V

“That was the best sex I have ever had in my entire life.” I say to Marie as I take another sip of wine. She smiles and moves a piece of hair out of my face. “Me too, I love you” she whispered to me. I felt as if we were the only people in the whole world. "I love you too beautiful." She sighed happily and laid her head on my chest. We laid there for a while and caught each other up on the last six months. Me talking about the shows I played and the new record deal we got. She talked about the photography job that she was offered, and how her graduation from college went. Then my phone went off and I looked to see who it was. It was an unknown number but I answered it anyway, “Hello?” I said with a smile still on my face from the events earlier. “Hey son, before you hang up I would like to talk to you. But in person please. I promise, it’s nothing bad.”

By the way, this was a really hard chapter to write. I get writer's block with happy characters lol yeah I know I'm fucked up. oh well! enjoy!! Oh, and I didn't write the sex scene because my mom reads this and that's just awkward lol
