JUST FOR BANGLES

And that was how my first week in Huntshire academy went. It wasn't as nice I'd expected it to be although I tried to lay low.

So, it was Saturday and the lazy, golden sun rose rather late and had almost affected my plans with Chanita.
We planned on going round the school, to the grounds, the field and everywhere the students were allowed to reach without trespassing.

Chanita woke up about the same time that I did and we ate a pizza we had failed to finish eating for dinner last night. It was cold but still quite good. I wore a bright yellow, long sleeve that barely covered my belly button and a short denim jeans that gave my long legs the air it needed.
We planned on walking all through so, Chanita wasn't going to need her powers and I was definitely not going to need mine either.

We stepped out of the room with little whispers about the hottest gist that was going on in school.
I never did such a thing but I guess I was bound to crawl out of my shell, it was just a matter of time.

One girl came bouncing, she was most likely a Latin American, she was blonde and had a huge forehead. I later realized her name was Sia and she wanted to go with us cause she was the only one in her room and she was bored. Her roommate hadn't resumed yet.

Chanita, being a really friendly person, allowed her join our crew and together, I thought of us as the three musketeers, just that the we were all females.

We stepped out of the tall hostel building and it was nice to be out once again. It was a long walk from the hostel to the building, we first went to the school's garden where I saw beautiful, peculiar, weird and mysterious plants and flowers of different colours and shapes.
The flower that held my interest the most was a purple and red flower that sneezed whenever anyone came close to it. I was curious to know if it was real mucous that came out but I wasn't risking anything.

After quite some time at the garden we went to the school's backyard just to check out if there was anything of interest there. As we were walking about trying to find something of interest yet staying out of the place where we trespass which we were metres away from, Sia's sparkly golden bangle fell right in the the forbidden area, a few metres into the area.

"Blow! My bangle! I need to get it, will be back in about 10 secs" Sia said exasperated.

"No, no, I'll get it, I can just teleport there and back" Chanita offered as she pointed to the forbidden area and back to prove her point.

About two seconds before Sia went the strange voice I heard in my head spoke:

"Don't let her go, she... will... burn"

I clapped my hand to get their attention and told them that I'll go instead. Before either of them could oppose I ran straight into the forbidden path of the school.
I walked over to the stupid bangle and picked it up.
"I guess this place isn't as dangerous as I thought it will be"
I said to myself.

As I was walking back to where Chanita was, my eyes caught something brown and really huge charging towards me

"Duck!"
The voice in my head said so sharply I couldn't even object.

The animal had leaped wildly at me and I'd missed my head by just a few inches.

I turned to stare at the fierce figure that was before me, it was a huge, brown animal, more like a mixed breed of a lion, a bear and an hippo.
I decided to run but the voice in my head once again said

"Fight! If you don't, the school and the world will be at their mercy"

I stood there not knowing if I should have obeyed the voice in my head or common sense.
Just as I was about to dash for safety which I felt was the better option, the animal growled loudly and started making it's way towards me

"Let me help"
The voice in my head said just as I began to lose control of myself again.

The animal was already within metres of me but the blue force field shield I mentioned earlier reappeared and stopped it from harming me. I mustered all my strength and pushed it back and before it could even regain it's balance, I felt myself being lifted into the air and thick, really thick stems with sharp, rugged spikes started making marks on the ground as the broke out and held the animal still as well as piercing it to allow it's thick red blood out. The shrieks and terrible growls could have terrified me at that moment but what I felt in me was absolute STRENGTH.
I saw a stem which the voice in me was obviously controlling me go round the neck of the animal and it kept on tightening around the neck till all what it tried to do was get air.

I heard a quick snap and the animal was gone. I felt myself descending from the air and I was getting myself once again. As soon as I was on the dry land, I dashed with the bangles to the safer side known as Huntshire Academy.
