STAGE 1

"Jacqueline Fairisles and Chanita Willis are up against Bryan and Brie Gail." The loud speakers announced.

The pandemonium that filled the room was second to none. I could hear chants of "War Splatter" everywhere and I immediately felt intimidated.

"Bryan Gail controls the fire element and Brie, Ice. Chanita is a teleporter and Jacqueline, has ultimate power over all the force fields- magnetic, electrical and all other kinds"

The entire room suddenly went numb and so did the speakers. I and Chanita made our way into the circle and went to stay at one end and the twins stayed at the other.

Just as the action was about to begin, Mrs. Beethoven, our principal walked past the now noiseless students with her high heels that generated suspense and stood at a corner. My eyes met hers and I saw a glint in it just as she nodded sharply.

"May the best team WIN!!!"
The speakers blared again louder than ever as the room got really thick with suspense and excitement.

We heard a loud bell signal the beginning and the brawl kicked off.

Chanita stood firmly on an attack posture and so did I. On the other side of the rather large circle, I saw Brie charging towards us riding on Ice slides. Her hair had gone white and so did her eyes. As she got close to us. Snap! Chanita teleported to meet her. Soon, there was ice flying about as Brie tried being the better person of the duo. I was almost lost when I looked up and saw Bryan staring down at me as he maintained balance in the air. His hair had turned red and his entire body was aflame. He was really a fierce figure.

"Need my help?"
The now familiar voice in my head said silently

As I was about to respond in affirmation, a huge ball of fire hit the ground and the heat burned my skin a little. I looked up and saw Brian charging towards me head first with a huge ball, probably to end my life. Soon he was less than 20 metres from me and the heat that generated out of his body was causing trickles of sweat flow down my forehead.

"I need your help... I need your..."
Was all I managed to say before the now familiar feeling of being squeezed through an ant hole occurred again.

It was Chanita, she had teleported me out harm's way. I turned quickly to look at her and she already appeared faint, blood was once again flowing from her once offended brow.
It was with the corner of my eyes that I saw a sharp arrow of Ice and before I could do anything, Chanita once again teleported us away from the damage.

"We can't keep running Jacque, we need you" Chanita said, exasperated.

And that was all that was needed to ignite the time bomb in me. I could feel an immense power surge in me and I saw Brie gasp in shock. I took to the air face to face with Bryan who was watching the event from the panoramic view above.

He sent a massive ball of fire my way and I created a shield of my force field.
I tried sending that same force field so as to knock him out of the circle but suddenly, all the bulbs in the room flickered and I sent a bluish purple streak of electricity instead.

He got electrocuted, fell to the ground and was definitely out of the circle, we had won.
