I had rushed Bryan to the school nurse myself, he mustn't die. When I got there he was already choking and tit bits of electricity could be seen around his wrists. The pupils of his eyes had faded and his lips had become red and swollen.
"What have I done?" I kept asking myself.
The nurse became agitated when she saw the state he was in.
"He must be taken to a medical facility by tomorrow! You brought him here quite late" she said sadly.
My whole world was tearing apart. I couldn't be a murderer I said to myself.
Then Brie bashed in through the door and ran over to her brother. I saw a tear roll down slowly from an eye and she turned to me in utmost anger.
"Miss Jacqueline, the principal needs your attention" Mr. Fred told me in my head.
I didn't even know what was going on anymore, everything became a puzzle. I didn't know where Chanita was, I didn't know where the mutant that came with me was either, Brie now hated my guts and Bryan was dying and now the principal was calling me to her office.
I got there slowly on purpose so that I could waste time and at least, recompose myself.
The black principal's door creaked almost unendingly as I opened it cautiously.
I entered the room nervously, everyone was on their feet; the principal, Mr. Fred, the mutant I came with, Chanita and my history teacher, Mr. Kendal.
"Listen Chanita, everything is crashing down, the school, the society and the world at large. Darkness has creepily encroached
and it's taking charge" The principal said with a serious look of concern.
"And you're the strongest one of us all in this school, and the fact that you found your powers in the power dampening room that fell has made it obvious that... You're the chosen one" the History teacher said.
"And from my past years of studying history, the god of peace is in you" Mr. Kendal, our history teacher added.
"Busted!"
The voice in my head said to me with a gentle chuckle.
"Huh? Okay... So, what're we meant to do to stop the... Darkness era?"
"Good question!" Mr. Fred said with the snap of his fingers.
