It was December 1. Jeff and Olivia's fifth anniversary, of being together. Their wedding anniversary wasn't until May, but they still celebrate this anniversary. Because one night, five years ago, they'd kissed at the top of a hill and agreed to date. Now, five years later, they're married with a beautiful daughter. You'd think they'd be super romantic and soppy today, but you're wrong.
Jeff had been editing all night, so he was fast asleep and Olivia was playing on her PlayStation in the game room. With such a massive house and barely anyone in it, they had spare rooms which needed filling up. They shared an editing room together, and a game room. Leaving Grace her own play room.
Grace had come running into the game room, holding up a broken toy. Her eyes were brimming with tears, a genuinely sad look on her face. "Mommy I broke it." She'd collapsed onto her mother, crying into her shoulder. Olivia felt the worst whenever her daughter cried. She just wanted her daughter to be happy forever.
"Hey, it's okay. You're not in trouble." Olivia spoke. "How about we go and buy a new toy?" To which her daughter nodded eagerly and grabbed Olivia's hand. She'd taken her into her bedroom, Jeff now awake and slipping a shirt on. Whilst Grace gushed about her excitement to her daddy, Olivia had got a text.
'natty🖤: hey, happy anniversary! want me to take gracie for the night?'
'liv🥺: you are a blessing, we were just taking her out to buy a new toy but you're more than welcome.'
'natty🖤: i can manage buying a new toy, you guys have fun.'
"Good morning, my gorgeous girls." Jeff murmured. Olivia smiled and kissed his cheek, putting Grace's shoes on.
"You're going with Auntie Nat today!" Olivia cheered, lightly pinching her daughters cheek. Obviously, Grace was excited and ready to go in an instant. Whilst Jeff was showering, Olivia was on the phone to Natalie, who was parking her car. Soon enough, Grace had run into the living room and embraced her 'Auntie Nat'. "I'll text you with whatever we're doing to keep you updated."
With Natalie and Grace gone, Olivia joined her husband for a quick shower. "I know you think we aren't doing much tonight, but we are." Jeff spoke. Olivia turned round, giving him a confused look.
"I've had it planned for a few weeks, and I'm hoping you'll say yes to it?" Jeff asked. Olivia nodded, kissing her husband's face excitedly.
