Natalie and Olivia had spent days and nights planning this, Jeff getting more and more skeptical every night. And finally he had snapped. She'd gotten home at 4am, for the third time that week. He was sat at the island with a coffee, waiting for her.
"Where have you been?" Jeff asked, firmly. Olivia could sense the anger in his voice. "And be honest,
Olivia."Full name? This is serious.
"I've been with Natalie." She stated, putting her bag and phone down. As she had began walking upstairs, Jeff had followed. She'd taken off her heels and thrown them in the cupboard, sitting on the bed.
"Again? You're spending all your time with her lately." He shouted.
"Grace is asleep, if you keep shouting, you'll wake her up." Olivia argued back.
"She's with Tallulah for the weekend, who by the way is in town. You'd know all this if you were here." Jeff had shouted, seeing Olivia get undressed and into some pyjamas.
"Can I not spend time with my friends?" She retorted, sitting on the bed. "Is that not allowed? Do I have to spend the rest of my life filming, editing and sleeping?"
"If you were with Natalie, why are you always so dressed up?" He asked, sitting on the bed. He'd stopped shouting now, he seemed exhausted.
"She-" Olivia started, but was interrupted.
"Are you cheating on me?" He asked.
The question had broken her in half.
Why would he think that?
All of the nights out and blunt responses could indicate she was cheating, but she couldn't turn round and tell him that she was planning a surprise for him."No. Why would you think that?" Olivia asked.
"You're never here, you leave at night and get back at stupid hours in the morning." He started. He was almost in tears. "You never speak to me when you're here, you never tell me what you're up to. And you're always sneaking around."
"I'm not cheating on you." She repeated.
"I think we need to have a break. I've had all this time to think about it, and I've decided it's best." Jeff stated. "It's Spring Break, so I'll take Grace to see my family in New York. And we can talk soon."
"You can't just take my daughter away from me." She argued.
"We need space from each other, and they haven't seen her in so long." He spoke. "Please."
"You want space? Because you think I'm cheating! Do you know how stupid that sounds?" Olivia screamed.
"We're leaving tomorrow morning, I'll speak to you when I get to New York."
