Today was the day, and surprisingly, Olivia was awake before Jeff. Which wasn't how he'd planned it. She was on the bed, her makeup sprawled around her and a mirror in front. Jeff smiled and had gotten out of bed, finding a simple attire to leave in. "Where are you off to?"
"Grabbing breakfast, how does breakfast bowls sound?" Jeff asked. Olivia had nodded along, watching him leave. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't nervous for today. She didn't know what was happening tonight. Rock climbing? Swimming? A walk around the park? All of these could've been done near home, so she doubted herself. To distract herself, she called Natalie.
"Hey, how's your getaway?" Natalie asked, switching the call to FaceTime.
"I don't even know what we're doing until tonight. Jeff has kept it a secret. How's my baby?" Olivia responded, eager to see her daughter who she missed the second they left. Natalie had turned the camera towards Grace, who was sleeping on Natalie's lap. Olivia awed at the sight.
"She's such an angel, she's so well behaved." Natalie gushed, smiling at the camera. Olivia smiled and spoke to Natalie some more, Jeff eventually walking through the door with their breakfast.
"I miss Gracie." Olivia huffed, digging into her bowl. Jeff looked up at his wife, he could see that being away from her for even the shortest time was tough. As it was for him too.
"I miss her too, but we'll see her tomorrow." Jeff murmured, rubbing her knee. "We're leaving the hotel this afternoon, so we can have food before."
"So we aren't going to a fancy restaurant." Olivia replied, mentally crossing that off of the list.
"Baby, you know our luck with restaurants." Jeff giggled.
