When the TARDIS calmed down, you looked at the Doctor. He was straightening his suit, glancing at a screen.

"Alright, so Doctor, where are we?" The Doctor looked at you and seemed to remember you existed.
Must not be fun doing this by himself, you thought.

"1794, in New South Wales, or what you know as Australia," he grasped his coat and shrugged it on. "The first free settlers have arrived and started to build homes and colonize the land."

"So you're saying, if I walk out that door, there will be people from the late 18th century out there?"

"Exactly!" The Doctor looked at you and smiled, "You catch on fast, for a human."

"What do you mean 'for a human'?" You asked as you walked to the door.

"Well, if it wasn't obvious with my beautiful box, dashing good looks and brilliant mind. I'm not human."

"No, but you look human." You said, without missing a beat the Doctor replied.

"You look TimeLord, we came first."

"Right," you opened the door and peeked outside.

You were met with carts being pulled by horses and people walking around in dresses and farm clothes.

"Not exactly dressed for the occasion," you laughed to yourself as you took a step outside, the Doctor following behind you.

He looked around and took a deep breath in through his nose. You looked at him quizzically, he looked at you.

"1794, what do you think?" You looked around, the scene looked like that of a horror film or a Blockbuster, without historical inaccuracies.

"Its... Is it really 1794?" You asked, you didn't want to believe that time travel was possible but you did go to London to see extraterrestrial technology in action.

"Yes, Y/N, it really is."

Before you could respond you both heard a rather high pitched scream a fair distance away, you looked towards the Doctor who was already barreling down the road towards the noise.

You followed him, down dirt streets, around corners and weaving through crowds. Your blood turned into pure adrenaline as you ran, you silently thanked god that you actually tried at sports and other athletic activities.

You almost ran into a man on a horse before finally stopping, the Doctor beside you, not breaking a sweat in his suit and coat.

[Gorewarning]

You looked at the scene in front of you, a mangled, skeletal body, it looked like a woman's body, from the clothes that had become nothing but cloth. A pool of blood surrounded the body, the mangled body had chunks missing out of it and half the skin was torn apart. You didn't really stop, this was too exciting, you saw bloody footsteps were leading away from the body and the Doctor hadn't seemed to notice yet.

"Doctor, this way!" You followed the footsteps, not looking to see if he had followed you. Your heart pumped with excitement, your feet pounded on the ground, following the footprints until they eventually stopped and you had to look for other clues.

"Alright, what else do I need to look for..."

"Observant, aren't you?" The Doctor said, standing near you, probably looking for clues too. You shook your head.

"No, not really, the foot prints were pretty obvious."

"They weren't Human footprints." He said, a smile finding its way across his face as he started looking for clues with you.
