I visited Kayleigh in their house today but she wasn't around because she was on school for consulting about her thesis. It's actually good thing to know that she's striving hard to finish and get better grades, she always says that she don't excel academically and such but I'm proud to what she is right now. 

I am actually sharing talks with Sydney and I couldn't believe I'm speaking with my favorite girl's first love! I thought this is awkward but nonetheless it's alright. 

"Seryoso ka kay Kayleigh?" He asked while puffing a smoke from his cigarette. I'm just contented with drinking tea. 

"What do you mean serious?" I asked back. 

"Na liligawan mo siya."

"I did not say I'm going to court her. I'm not fond of doing that. It's irritating." We both chuckled with what I said. "I'm not yet in love, if you know what I mean. I'm enjoying Kayle's company. It's so happy to be with her. I feel cool whenever she's around."

"So gusto mo talaga siya." He confirmed. 

"Oo naman. Noong nasa UK pa kami, I already had my interest towards her but I'm just ignoring the thought as we're friends at the same time."

"Bakit hindi mo pa ituloy? Mukhang may pag-asa ka naman sa kanya ha." Then he dipped the remaining cigar on the ashtray. 

I shrugged my shoulders. "Whenever I think about Kieran, I'm just fucking holding back my feelings."

"Bakit naman? Mukha namang okay si Kieran sa'yo para sa kapatid niya."

"I don't think he's going to agree with that. He protects and treasures his sister much. And I think I'm betraying our friendship's sake if I choose to date Kayleigh."

Sydney frowned and lit another cigarette. "Bakit kailangan mo pang isipin ang mararamdaman ng iba? Wala na siyang magagawa kung talagang gusto mo 'yung kapatid niya. Tanginang betrayal 'yan. Umayos nga kayo, para kayong mga bading e."

Hindi ko na napigilan ang matawa sa sinabi ni Sydney. Kung sabagay, may punto naman siya pero hindi lang talaga ako kumportable na i-pursue si Kayleigh sa ngayon lalo pa't hindi pa 'to alam ni Kieran. Alam niya kasing hindi ko magugustuhan ang kapatid niya pero heto ako pinipigilan ko 'yung pakiramdam ko. Kasi sa huli, ako 'yung lugi 'pag mainlove ako sa kanya sa simpleng rason na in love siya sa iba. 

"Teka nga, bakit ba binubuyo mo ako kay Kayleigh. Parang kino-konsensya mo ako e." Siya naman ang tumawa sa sinabi ko. 

"Hindi naman sa ganoon, Kev. Sinabi ko na 'to kay Kayleigh noon na gusto ko si Shadows para sa kanya. Alam ko naman kasi na capable niyang alagaan siya pero nitong mga nakaraan, napapansin kong stressed out na siya sa mga nangyayari. I just wanted her to be fine. Pero sa nakikita ko, nahihirapan din siya. We all want her to be happy."

Tumahimik kaming dalawa sa sinabi niya pagkatapos. I'm just staring blankly. Thinking what needs to be done or what I want to do. 

"She's in love with someone else. How could I do with that?"
