Raza's POV
Today is the mehindi and I'm bored as always. I don't even want to go but what can I do it's my own wedding.
I got ready wearing my black shalwar qameez with maroon waistcoat. I combed my hair and sprayed my Cologne on.
I went downstairs and waited for my sisters to get ready. Abba and I talked about the function well he talked and I just sat there bored out of my mind.
After my sisters got ready we left for the hall.
The Hall was decorated with different types and colourful flowers. Colourful canopy shaded the stage from the bright lights. Illuminated dance floor was set up. The music was soft but traditional. After waiting a while the doors opened and there she stood. Under the floral canopy held by her brother and cousins. She made her entrance.
Play the song(I'm sorry if your unable to understand it if its not your language but please bare with me😊)
She looked...... Magnificent.
The yellow colour brightened her whole face.
She walked down the aisle gracefully.
But then....... She looked up right at me. In my eyes. Her honey hazel eyes completed her whole look. She walked towards me keeping the eye contact but then I felt as though she was staring in space. The intensity of her eyes faded as she stopped in the middle.
She stood there staring lifelessly at the ground. She looked deep in thought. Seeing her stopping the music volume lessened.
*decrease the volume a little*
After a while the whispering started. Since I was looking closely I saw her eyes water. The tears brimmed her eye but didn't fall. Her Baba went toward her. He brought her out of her out of her thoughts. She blinked away the tears and looked up raising an eyebrow. He must've asked her the reason of her sudden stop. At first she looked confused then realization might have dawned she smiled apologetically and then signed something. Forgetting the event her brother Baba and cousins gathered around her but then after a while the event resumed.
She finished her walk and sat beside while I just kept staring at her in curiosity. What is going on inside her head I wonder?
The rasams(rituals) were performed along with our cousins dancing. I was enjoying my friends and cousins dancing like monkies. To be honest it was funny scenario but every time I would look over to Dua she would be as quite as a mute person could be but also lost in her thoughts. She basically could've burned holes in the ground by the way she was staring at it. She would smile and act as if she just didn't stay zoned out for the whole function if someone approached us.
"Come on bhai and Bhabi you have to dance with us" Mehak and Malaika dragged us both to the dance floor and forced us to dance. I just danced a little as for her she just smiled and moved a little.
After dinner and all the other rituals the ceremony was done and the function ended. We parted ways and went home
I was very tired and went to bed without even changing. I just threw off my waist coat and landed in my bed with a soft thud.
**********
"Assalamualikum Raza uncle." I saw a little girl smiling at me. She would be about eight or something.
"Who are you?" I asked confused. We don't have kids in the house who is she.
"Someone who will help you." The girl confused me further
"How did you get inside?" I asked horrified. The white light that surrounded her was unreal. She had jet black hair and baby blue eyes. The smile in her face resembled someone's smile I can't recall.
She walked close to me and put her hand on my forehead. I wanted to remove it but I couldn't... I couldn't move. Her hand was cold. Ice cold.
"Be gentle and patient with her. Give her time." She said. I felt my eyes getting heavy.
"But who are you?" I asked or more like whispered.
"You'll know" was the last thing I heard. Her smiling face was the last thing I saw before I woke up abruptly. I was covered in sweat and my breath came out as heavy pants.
What was that? I thought. The room was the same as I saw in my dream just the light and the girl were gone. She looked so familiar smiling but yet so strange. Her baby blue were glimmering with innocence.
Shaking my head to clear the dream away which by the way didn't happen. I went to the bathroom and took a shower. I couldn't help but think of the baby blue eyes that will probably haunt me. As if Dua wasn't enough the girl decides to piss me off.
When I came out of the bathroom wiping my head when I heard the fajr azaan being called. Since I was awake and sleep long gone because of the girl I decided why not be a good Muslim for once. This all is so new to me but it was as if I had no choice. I did my ablution and spread the prayer mat and prayed. With every sajdah I did I felt at ease. Like a burden being lifted off.
After namaz I made dua for my families well being and unknowingly I also made dua for Dua as well. After praying I went back to bed with no stress on my mind....
