Raza's POV
Explaining her condition to him was hard since she was shaking too much. I was still talking to the doctor when she suddenly stopped. Every movement came to a halt.....
Her jerking stopped so did my heart.
Her whimpering quited down so did my heart beat.
Her body went limp in my arms as all the life in her had left. Shakily I pulled away to see her head hanging backwards. A white slime like substance leaking from the corner of her mouth. Her pink lips now turned paper white.
"Dua" I called.
"Dua answer me"I said patting her cheeks.
" Dua " I called again this time louder than before. Panick started building up in me.
Why isn't she waking up? I thought.
"Hello doctor" I said loosing my mind.
"Mr Raza what is it?" He asked in a worried voice.
"She.. She's not moving there is white substance coming out of her mouth. She going pale" I said almost screaming.
"Sir you have to bring her to the hospital she might be poisoned. Hurry!!" He yelled. I hear him making arrangements.
"OK I'm coming" I said shoving my phone in my pocket. I picked her up. Only now I realize she's as light as a feather.
She coughed. Good she's still alive. She coughed more of the white substance out. She took in a sharp breath her hand went straight to her chest where the heart is. Her eye closed forcefully.
"Dua hang in there" I said starting the engine and taking off full speed.
Abba and the girls might've been in their rooms probably dead a sleep. While her family left. I didn't want to wake anyone up or most likely don't want Abba to get arrested for my murder.
I reached the hospital and took Dua in. By now she's back to her unconscious state which scares me. The fear is flowing through me in stormy waves in the sea.
The doctors were on their feet helping her. I waited. I waited for hours but no response. I saw the doctor coming out of the operation theater.
"How is she?" I asked. To be very honest apart from Abba I fear losing her. I don't know why but I do. Its as if I lose her I will lose something precious. Her presence even on the sofa is assuring I don't know how but it is. Its only been a day we've been together but ever since I got married to her there is this strange feeling to want her safe and close to me.
"Your wife was injected a slow spreading poison. It was really hard to save her since she had a heart attack as a side effect of the drug/poison she was given. You should be thankful that the heart attack was a minor because if not by the drug the heart attack could've killed her. I must say her being alive is a miracle." He said patting my shoulder. A heart attack? I thought to myself. When he left I fell on my knees.
Allah tera shukkar hai. (Thank you Allah)
I went to the doctors office then I realized he said someone drug her. All the medicines injected to her were prescribed by the doctor.
"Doctor you said she was drugged. How could she be. All the medicines injected were prescribed by you so how did all this happened?" I asked not being able to wrap my head around any of this. How can she be drugged in hospital premises.
"Sir we tested her blood and the drugs I prescribed are not found. This type of drug is not even present in our pharmacy. Its only possible if someone brought the drug in the hospital and carried out the act of injecting her. But that's also not possible since the security doesn't let anyone bring anything inside without inspection" he said looking deep in thought.
"Doctor the patient in room number 5 is not stable we need you assistance" a nurse came running in.
The doctor left to check up on the patient while I made my way to Dua's room. I went inside only to find her sleeping with different IVs attached to her hand. A pipe inserted in her mouth.
Somewhere deep down I wanted to fall on the ground and cry. I don't know what this feeling is but I want to cry for her to make it out. Even though she's out of danger I can't help but beg Allah to make her open her eyes quickly.
"Hey. Mute girl open your eyes. We have to be a happy couple tomorrow for our valima." I said slightly shaking her shoulder like a child. To be honest I don't know what I'm saying and why I'm saying. I just want to get her attention somehow to get her to open her eyes. I just can't bear the silence in this room. Its driving me insane.
"Listen I want you awake soon. I don't like all this fakeness that you're showing. Quit acting and wake up" I said leaving her hand that I didn't realize I had held. Her heart monitor started going crazy. The beeping was just adding more to my migraine. I looked over at Dua to see her breathing heavily through the tube. I saw a tear run down the side of her face. Her eyes closed but still manage to scream alot. I called the doctor in they came running and shoved me out neither did I fight to stay with her. I just sat there at one of the chairs outside the room. The nurses ran from here and there taking random things in there. I don't want to admit but there was this feeling in the pit of my stomach that was making me go crazy. Fear. Fear of the outcome. I just hope she survives.....
