Aaliyah

I knock on the front door, expecting for Wes to open as I almost immediately hear running towards the door.

Smiling, I wait and the door opens, revealing Mr. Price.

"Oh hi, Mr. Price!" I say in confusion, then Terri comes out... "and Terri. Where's Wes?"

"We thought he was with you?" Terri tilts her head.

"He was yesterday for a few hours, but then he said he went home?" I push my eyebrows together. They look at each other. "What did you tell him? What happened?"

"Not-"

"I'm so sorry for coming off rude, but, Wes wouldn't leave unless something happened" the ends of my lips curve downwards.

They get silent.

I shake my head and get back to my car to find out where this kid went.

He wouldn't do anything stupid.

So he's somewhere local.

And I know exactly where. He told me a few weeks ago that he wanted to check out this hotel down the road, so I'm almost positive he would be there.

He has nowhere else to go.

And I don't mean that rudely!

His phone obviously didn't fall in the creek.

I'm almost positive.

After a twenty minute drive, I pull into the hotel and walk in, asking if there's a Wesley Price here.

I could've just called.

"Yes! Are you his family?" the receptionist asks.

I shake my em head. "Girlfriend"

"Oh okay, he's in room three a"

"Thank you!"

I go in the elevator, thankfully alone.

The light dings and the doors open, giving me time to get off and walk to his room which luckily isn't complicated.

I knock on his door and hear him walk over to open it.

Once he sees me, his eyes widen as wide as golf balls. "A..., how did-"

"You're not a good liar" I wink.

"Ughhh" he takes my hand, pulling me into his room. "I'm sorry"

"Why are you here? I went to your house and your dad said he thought you were with me when you told me you were with him" I sit on his bed.

He laughs. "Yeah. Of course he did. He doesn't care, A. All he wants is Terri back in his life. I gave him the choice of me or her, but no, he basically said her. Not only that, he puts your name in his fucking mouth and I'm not dealing with it. I'm not gonna live with them and my life gets turned back around to that sad sad sad kid"

"You're protecting yourself" I take his hand, pulling him next to me. "You don't have to stay here, Wes"

"Where else am I gonna go, babe? Nowhere," he stands up "I have NO ONE. No friends, no family, nothing. Nowhere to go but here"

I shake my head. "Move in with me"

He turns to me. "I don't want to do that to you and-"

"I'm serous. We love you and would be happy to have you live with us! But I do want you to make amends with your dad" I tug my lips to the side.

"It's not that easy. I don't want to go back there, and I'm not. And your house, there's not that many rooms-"

I groan and laugh. "You know you can stay in my room!"

"Your mom won't let that happen" he continues to make this more complicated.

I stand up. "Wes, just move in with me" I say, laughing.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure"

**

"Don't go through that box!" Wes stops me as I try to unpack.

"What? Is it stuff you get off to?" I laugh.

He rolls his eyes. "I don't get off to anything, thank you. But no, it's just a memory box"

I turn to him. "What's wrong with your memories?"

"You can go through it... I just, it's embarrassing" he sighs.

"No, it's not! Come here" I pat the spot next to me. He walks over, sitting down. I then open the box and the first thing that pops up is a red rose with a note, so I look up at him before looking down to read it. "Happy mother's day, mommy! I know I can be annoying, but I love love love you. Here's this undying rose for my undying love for you" my heart breaks.

"It's embarrassing-"

"No, it's not. It's beautiful and it shows how much you loved her even after what she did, and you technically blamed yourself for it. You've always been such an amazing person" I kiss his cheek. "Never change yourself, Wes"

"As long as I don't lose you" he pulls me into his side.

"You won't. Not ever" I rub his back. "She doesn't deserve you"

He stands up, clearing his throat. "It's getting late, we can go through al this tomorrow"

"Works for me, I'm exhausted" I laugh, standing up and closing the box up. "I can't believe you're staying with us, I just hope you can get everything situated"

"Me too. But I don't mind staying with you" he picks me up bridal style, gently throwing me on the bed before he hovers over me.

I place my hands on his cheeks and pul him to me.

His lips attack mine and we begin to have a make out session.

But nothing further, though I wish it was. Ughh why was I cursed with the pain?

I'm just really glad I have Wes.

He's so supportive and understanding. He never wants me to feel alone, so he involves himself in it.

One day we'll get there. Just step by step. Not like it's important anyways.

As always, Parker has to walk in on us.
