"Babe" Wes nudges me once he noticed my anxiousness. "Hey"

"I'm gonna be sick" I hold my stomach.

"Who's this?" dad locks eyes with Tanner.

"Gun-"

"Lily's boyfriend" Tanner stands tall.

Dads eyes grow as wide as golf balls. "Y-your boyfriend?" he turns to mom in pure heartbreak.

"We've been dating for a month now. The kids love him and he loves them. Aaliyah may be grown with her own fiancé, but he promised her he would never be like you. He would never hurt her or me. Like you did" mom snaps.

"You've destroyed these girls. I'm doing everything in my fucking will to give them the world, unlike you. All you did was crush that world. These girls are the most bright, happy souls I've ever met. I don't see how you would go and leave th-"

"STOP TALKING!" dad runs at Tanner, gripping his throat and punching him. "THIS IS MY FAMILY AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SAY THEY'RE YOURS!"

Tanner gets out of his grip and jabs dad right in the jaw, causing blood to shoot out. "I HAVE EVERY RIGHT! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CONTINUE TO THINK THEY'RE YOUR FAMILY! YOU LEFT! YOU'RE AN ABSOLUTE FUCKING COWARD AND JERKOFF!"

Dad pushes them to the ground to punch him, but Tanner flips them around so he's landing hands on him.

"TANNER!"

"FUCK!" the guys run over and try to pull them about.

"LET THE FUCK GO OF HIM!"

"YOU'RE GONNA KILL HIM!"

Mom and I scream as blood is shot everywhere, but luckily the guys depart them.

"FUCKING STOP!" mom goes in the middle of them. "I WANT YOU, GUNNER, OUT OF THIS HOUSE!"

"HOW COME I COME TO CHECK ON MY DAUGHTER THAT THIS HAS TO HAPPEN?!" dad grabs Parker's glass of orange juice, slamming it against the wall.

I see a frown grow on Parker's face.

"YOU ARE NOTHING BUT SELFISH!"

"Y-"

My vision gets blurry with tears and ringing is all I hear.

"A, come on baby" Wes picks me up, walking me outside and sitting me down on the steps.

"Wes," I scream and hug him. "I don't want my mom to get hurt-"

"She won't! Calm down, I'll be right back" he kisses my cheek before running back inside.

I place my head in my hands as I sob.

And that's when I hear screaming and shouting and some things being thrown.

The door opens and mom runs out.

"Mom!" I stand up and hug her. "What's going on?!"

"Love, I need you to stay calm. The police are on their way and I-"

"What?! Why?!"

"Aaliyah-"

"Is Wes okay?! Parker?! Lorenzo?! Tanner?!" my chest pounds.

"They can't keep holding them apart, Ta-"

Police sirens are heard and my eyes widen.

"Mom, w-"

"They're inside" mom breaks down crying.

The cops run in and I try to form words. "What's going on?"
