I woke up at 9am which was late for me, but I didn't mind it was a Saturday. I showered then got dressed for the day, I had my blue dress on over my black top with tights and boots. I also woke up with an acceptable hair day, which was very rare for me. I was about to make my bed when I heard someone shout "Hermione! You awake yet?" It was harry, I pulled my covers up and walked down stairs. "Morning" I said. "Morning, you look cool" he said, I laughed appreciatively "thank you. Is that the jumper I brought you?" I asked "yeah, its my favourite one I own" he replied "well of course, I brought it for you" "oh shut up" he said and we both began to laugh. "Now can we please go to breakfast I'm so hungry" I said leading him out the portrait hole. We made it to the great hall. We sat there eating and talking shit, just like best friends do, when Cedric came over. "Hey guys" he said "hey, how are you?" I asked "not to bad" he replied "hello" harry said "alright mate?" Cedric replied "not to bad, what brings you over here" harry asked "just came to see Hermione" said Cedric nonchalantly "oh right. Cool, you looking forward for the quidich match tomorrow?" Harry asked "actually you can sit if you like" he said "sure thanks" Cedric took a seat next to me opposite harry. "I'm a little worired, I mean I am playing against gryfindoor" Cedric laughed "we all no what happened last time" I said teasing harry.

When we got in last night I told harry all about my day with Cedric. He knew him and Ron were friends but didn't know Cedric that well. It was nice he was making and effort. It was now 11 and I didn't have to go to the library till 2, Cedric and harry had practice. "I'll see you later harry, I promised ginny I'd spend time with her, and then I'm going to the library at 2" I said getting up from the table "ok, that's fine, you know what woods like I'll probably be at practice till dinner" he replied "have fun, and I'll see you at 2 Cedric" I gave him a warm smile "looking forward to it" he reciprocated the smile. I waved and walked out the hall.
On my way out I saw ginny! "Hermione" she called after me. "Hey, how are you?" She asked "good, you?" I replied "not too bad, shall we go sit in the courtyard it's a lovely day" she asked "yes" I replied. We talked for a couple hours updating each other on our lives. "Hey I noticed you hanging round with digory. Anything I should know" she smirked at me. I blushed "no, it's not like that, he said he was an old family friend and wanted to talk with me, we ended up getting on really well, and I dunno, it's just nice to make new friends, plus he is super cute. He also has the best fashion and music taste" I said smiling at her "ohh you have a crush!" Ginny teased " I do not! So shut up" I said half joking half serious "well regardless friend or more, he's a very sweet boy and you two would make the perfect match" Ginny said "it's so weird I feel like everyone expected me and harry to be together. It just so Cliche, chosen one and brightest which. You can have a best friend of the opposite gender and he completely plutonic" I said get out my book to show Ginny what I was reading "yeah exactly Hermione, plus I would kill you, you know  I've liked harry for years" she laughed and so did I.

Me and harry took a little break from quidich training, and were walking back into school to try find some snacks when wee saw Ginny and Hermione, we didn't mean to ear wig, but we just happened to hear as we walked past, I couldn't stop smiling! Someone as cool as Hermione, thought that I was cool and so was my music taste! That is the best news ever, I looked over to harry who was blushing ferociously, it was no secret he fancied Ginny, and here she was admitting she liked him too. We decided to walk away, thinking it best to not tell them we heard.

Me and Cedric had been practicing quidich for a few hours, but both agreed it was time for a snack. As we walked thought the courtyard I saw a very pretty girl, oh and of course hermione. We didn't mean to hear but they weren't exactly being quiet. I've always thought ginny was cute and could carry her self very well. I admired this. when she said she liked me, my hart and stomach fluttered. I never really thought I stood a chance, but here she was admitting it. We both carried on deciding we would tell the girls what we heard, at the right time. Although I don't think they'd mind, just be a little embarrassed.

It was 1:52. I wanted to get to the library early so I could get to Hermione favourite table. She liked it because, she could see who was coming in, but she was hidden, she was near the window; which meant she had a perfect source of light and could open the window when hot, it also had one chair opposite so she wouldn't be too bothered by other people, but one if she wanted company like harry or Ginny or me, well hopefully I qualify for one of these people. Others thought this was silly. I thought this was smart.
She arrived about 3 minutes after myself obviously had the same idea. She sat down in the opposite chair. "Hey Cedric, how was practice?" She reached for her bag, "hey, wasn't to bad. I am very sore, did you enjoy your time with Ginny?" I questioned I smiled a little of course she did. "Yeah, it was nice to see her. We are both so busy with work and her with quidich as well, it's hard to make time. As for you being sore I don't think there is much you can do" she looked sympathetically at me. "Ah,it's fine I should be used to it by now, harry is just so good I'm trying catch up with him" I smiled softly. Hermione had got our her herbology work, "yeah, well you actually are both very good players" she replied "wow, a compliment from miss hermione granger! I must be special" I said teasing her "oh shut it!" She replied laughing hard . "Anyway, herbology is not my strong subject so you're definitely gonna have to help me!" She wailed "I'm shocked, i thought you could do everything?" I looked at her playfully."well usually I am" she replied being all smug. "But it's really hard and you've been doing it longer, and if you help me I'll buy you a butterbeer" she gave me the puppy dog eyes. "Well when you put it like that" I rolled my eyes "and I definitely won't turn down a butter beer" I replied "well it's a date! well not a date date like a date but like a friend date, OMG" she burst into laughter and her cheeks went fire red, I laughed too "don't sweat it, I'd be happy if it were either, and I don't blame you, if I was opposite some as handsome and as great as me I'd get flustered too" I teased and winked at her. "You are something Else digory" she began laughing again "ouch demoted to digory, why granger? Why?" We started laughing again and couldn't stop till madam pince called "either silence your mouths or out" we both looked at each other raised and eyebrow and then laughed harder but quieter, it had already been 45 minutes. "Wow ok, we really need to do some work" I said "yes of course." "What are you struggling with" I asked, "well, i have 15 names of plants, we have to list how to grow them, what they are used for. If they go in a potion and if so what one. It's actually not that hard it's just difficult to remember all the names" hermione replied "ugh I remember doing this, so at least I'll be some form of help" I retorted.

We had been working on my herbology homework for and hour now and we were nearly done. We actually make the best team, Cedric is so unbelievably smart I think he knows more than me, i thought again, hehe maybe not, I would say I'm at 97% he's 95%. Ok Hermione focus. I smiled "what?" He said looking up "nothing I was just zoning out" i explained. We were finally finished it was now 3;35, "so it's my turn now." Cedric stated "is that so?" I retorted "yes, it's DADA, you are way better at this than me, I swear, you are year 4 and you, harry and Ron have fought Voldemort off like 4 times" he exclaimed. I tended a little, because last time Ron died, but still it was true we'd defeated him before and definitely will again. "That's fine and it's ridiculous whenever big stuff happens it was always us 3!" I rolled my eyes half jokingly "anyway what is it" I asked "it is to do with fighting off a dementor" he said "oh, well Harry's the expert, but you obviously know the spell, when confronted with one, while performing the spell, you have to think of the happiest memory you have and really focus on it, focus on it so hard you can feel what you felt when it actually happened. You've also got to want to fight of the dementor you need to be strong willed and powerful" I exclaimed "wow, ok" he replied, "how do I practice that tho ?"cedric question, "well if we find a boggart around the school, practice on that, that is how harry did it" I told him "ok let's go"
