Way Down We Go

I woke up with a start like usual, calming myself down and meditating before taking a shower and getting ready for the day. I look at myself in the mirror, combing out my shoulder length chocolate brown hair and smiling, my green eyes sparkling behind the light makeup I applied. I hurry to cook and eat breakfast, my aunt and uncle sleeping in to catch up on sleep. I sigh and let my thoughts wander as I pull my uniform on, Aunt Kora and Uncle Kai work so hard and are so diligent about their jobs. I wish that they could get a break every once in a while though, they deserve to be able to rest and relax with each other and their family.

I check that I have everything and rush to the station, always so anxious and scared that I would be late. The ride today is quick and smooth, no delays and not being terribly crowded despite it being the time when everyone is heading to work and school. I get off the train and book it to school, calming myself before walking into the classroom and preparing for the day full of classes and learning. 

I was quietly chatting with Ochako-chan when Aizawa-sensei walks in, making a brief announcement about choosing a class president and swiftly laying down in his sleeping bag to take a nap. The class proceeds to bicker before voting for Midoriya and Yaomomo, to be president and vice president respectively. 

Our classes proceed as usual, Kirishima helping me by verbally saying any notes on the board so I can write them down, Kaminari and Sero also helping me with the notes. I smile and walk with Ochako to the lunch room, pulling out my Bento box and chatting with them as we eat. Just as we finish up our meals an alarm goes off, students beginning to panic and push towards the exit, running over other students without a care. 

The scene was chaos, looking like a Black Friday in America. I stand by Iida and Ochaco, looking outside the large windows and realizing it was just the press trying to get on school grounds. We all look at one another before Ochako-chan uses her quirk on Iida and he flies to the exit sign, posing like the stick figure running and gaining everyone's attention. With his directions and my assistance we calmly evacuated everyone from the lunchroom and back to their classrooms. 

Once we were all back in the 1-A classroom Midoriya-kun made an announcement, resigning from position as class president, and appointing Iida as his successor. He went on to explain that Iida's calm conduct in the evacuation made him realize he wasn't fit to be class president, that Iida conducted himself the way a class president should.

I enter the classroom and smile, talking to Kirishima-kun and asking him about how he is liking attending UA so far. We continue chatting for a few minutes before class starts and we all settle down to listen, classes are boring as usual and uneventful until after lunch. We sat in the classroom, expecting our usual teacher All-Might to come in and lead the class, however we were all surprised when Aizawa-sensei walks in. 

He calmly explains that we will be heading to the USJ facility to participate in disaster rescue training, pressing a button on the classrooms remote to reveal the briefcases containing our hero costumes. 

"This training is at an off campus so we will be taking a bus there, meet outside the school in 10 minutes. We all quickly dress, my fingers itching as my intuition tells me something is going to go wrong. Take everything, including the cards. You will need it. I hurry out and meet with everyone, Iida-kun having everyone line up to enter the bus in a smooth and orderly fashion. I chuckle softly, seeing Midoriya-kun in his PE clothes, explaining to everyone that his hero costume was trashed after the fight with Bakugou.

The bus ride is a bit long, but we entertain ourselves by talking about quirks and teasing Bakugou about his tempter. We all find his fiery reactions and insults kinda funny, his insecurities and faults plain as day when I watch his body language. Aizawa-sensi soon quiets us down as the bus slows and we arrive at the huge USJ facility. Ochako-chan practically bounces out of her seat from excitement, chattering about how she dreamed of being a rescue hero since her quirk makes it easy to move rubble and large objects.
