I awake the next morning at 6 AM, before any of the boys, it gives me time to take a quick shower and get ready for the day, which is what I do. I quickly shower and scrub my body, turning off the water and drying off, getting dressed before wrapping my hair in one of the towels and putting on some light make up. I’m all done by 6:30 AM, and walk back out into the room, chuckling as all the members are still fast asleep. I pull out all of my notes and study material, setting myself up on the desk and turning on the light so I can make sure I’m prepared for both the midterms and final exams.

It isn’t until almost 8:30 AM that the alarms on the boy’s phones go off, causing me to jump in surprise and look up from my Hero Fundamentals textbook and notes. I giggle softly as the boys look at me with bleery and foggy eyes, all six of them trying to wake up and get ready for their busy day. I continue studying as they all get themselves ready, the door opening as Yumi and the crew members walk in to assist them as much as they can. I’m only able to study another 30 or 40 minutes until I have to pack up and we are all ready.

“Looking good Kayda, be sure to bring your hero costume just in case something happens.” Yumi informs me as I grab up all my equipment and the brief-case containing my hero costume and some of the specific equipment I need for combat. The boys smile as I walk behind them, prepared to cast another illusion spell as we walk into the lobby, causing everyone around to see and hear foreign businessmen discussing different deals.

Our cars used for transportation today were inconspicuous white minivans, I nod at Yumi and cast a floating spell, concealing the cars and members as we head to the arena that’s hosting their first concert of the week. I escort the group inside, changing the illusion to a team of athletes that are going to practice. We finally get safely inside the arena and I land, sweat dripping down my forehead as I grab a bottle of Sunny D and a package of peanut butter crackers to munch on.

I sit by the side and watch the members practice, letting my body rest and regain the stamina I had lost due to the concentration on the multiple spells. After an hour or two the boys take a break and sit next to me, smiling and chatting about their training as idols and lives back in Korea, in turn asking me about my hero training and what it was like living in Japan. Our break is short lived as their manager comes back in and lets them know that it’s time to continue practicing, to my surprise he also asks me to participate since I know their songs and dances so well.

I tie my hair back and pull off my sweater, blushing a bit as it leaves me in just a short crop top and a pair of black leggings. My focus turns to the music as I practice their song Dramarama with them, shocking them a bit with my ability to keep up and perform all the moves almost as well as they do without all the formal training and dance practices they had. We move on to different songs from their other albums, mainly focusing on HERO, Rush, Beautiful, Gravity, X, Shoot out, Oh My, and Burn It Up.

The hours quickly pass like this, the members nit picking a few of my moves as we practice like there is no tomorrow. With 4 hours left before the show we are sent to go and clean up, all seven of us hot and sweaty from the practice. After my quick shower in the female locker room, I am approached by the manager, who begs me to perform in place of the previous member Wonho, the members were so much happier just having a placeholder so their dances are back to the way it used to be when they had 7 dancers.

I run it by Yumi who agrees that having someone on stage could be helpful in case of something happening, on the stipulation that I would have all my hero gear with me and a com set hooked into the headphones all idols wear during performances. I nod and get rushed off to hair and make up, the stylists quickly getting to work, using cosmetics to make me look like a doll. My hair getting dried and straightened before getting put in a long ponytail that reaches halfway down my back, with chains and different accessories decorating the long strands.

The hair and make up crew soon hand me off to the costume stylists who take a look at my hero costume, using my reinforced mesh bodysuit as an underlayer. I am then handed a pair of leather booty shorts, leg and chest harnesses, as well as a black turtleneck crop top. I put these on and spin around for the stylists who clap before handing me a simple face mask that would hide my identity pretty well, understanding that there could be backlash for being a female that is performing with a popular boy band group. They decide to also hand me a black baseball cap with rings and chains hanging off the top and the brim, giving me even more of an edgy look when combined with my combat boots. I clip on all my hero gear, looking like a female Wonho that belongs with the group due to their meticulous preening.

I am rushed backstage with the members, getting my combination mic, comm set, and headset hooked up and tested to be sure it worked. By this time the opening acts were performing, the stadium filled to the brim with screaming and chanting MonBebes. At five minutes till I load onto the stage lift with the other members, taking position and wishing the other boys luck with the performance.

Fog fills the stage as the lights shut off, the crowd quieting down a bit before the lights flash and we are lifted up onto the stage, causing screams and shouts of awe. The intro plays and we all walk down dramatically, our dramatic and edgy costumes immediately catching the attention of the audience, as well as the fact that there is now a seventh member again. I smile and wave, winking and shooting hearts at the fans who scream their approval. The performance goes off without a hitch, and after a solid 3 hours we exit the stage and head off to get changed before heading back to the hotel for day 2 of 3 performances.  I once again conceal us up to our rooms and immediately resume my studies for another few hours before getting some rest.

The next two days go similarly to this one, The performances being a hit with all the fans, until the last night. We are on stage, performing the last song when I happen to glance up and see villains gliding into the arena, aiming to land on the stage.

“Yumi, there are 9 villians gliding from the sky to the stage with another keeping watch from higher up. Do you want me to take them out?” I ask quietly, keeping up the facade that I hadn’t noticed them and was still entirely focused on the performance.

“Yes Kayda, we are going to make it seem like nothing is happening but a simple costume change. I have your hero costume ready. The boys are being told the same thing.” I nod as we exit the stage, I strip and change into my hero costume, fastening the hat and comm set to my head before sprinting onto the stage and leaping, catching myself with a flying spell and summoning my two short staffs. Yumi rushes out onto the stage, using her sharp shooting quirk to stop some of the nearby villains while I take out the ones further out. I use my staffs to disable and cripple their gliders, catching each of the men in a containment field before taking them down for the security team to properly apprehend and take the men away.

We leave the concert early and head back to the hotel, sighing softly as I immediately fall onto the bed and  quickly pass out from the long day and use of my quirk. We are able to sleep in a bit the next morning, exchanging numbers before they got onto their plane for America, where their next performances would be. I then head back home, feeling energized about using my quirk and doing so well at my internship. I study for a few hours when I get home before falling asleep in my comfortable futon.
