I wake up the next morning feeling refreshed for the first time in ages, the medicine Bakugou and my aunt made me take kept all my nightmares away for once. I stretch and check my phone before quickly getting ready and dressed in my school uniform. I had woken up a little bit late so I bid my aunt goodbye, taking my breakfast to eat on the train to school. I eat in peace, humming softly at the delicious taste of the small but filling meal my aunt packed for me.
I arrive at school early, waving to Iida and the teachers as I make my way to the 1-A classroom. I giggle softly as I remember the crazy fever dreams I had yesterday, making sure they were fresh in my mind so I could tell Bakugou-kun, Kirishima-kun, and Ochako-chan about them so they could laugh as well. I set up all my things for class, waving as my friends enter the room and come over to talk to me.
“Hey guys! You won’t believe the fever dreams I had yesterday. You all were playing just dance, Kirishima danced to Hot N Cold, and Bakugou absolutely destroyed Moves Like Jagger.” My friends all turn to look at one another before laughing and smiling happily.
“We actually did that Kayda-chan, that wasn’t a fever dream, and Bakugou actually did kill it on most of the songs.” Ochako-chan explains, her cheeks turning even more pink as the boys look at me sheepishly. I pout and look up at them, feeling sad that I missed playing my favorite game with my friends.
“You guys played without me?! That’s my favorite game! I demand we play together another time.” I whine a bit, allowing myself to wallow in the emotion for a bit. My friends all nod and prepare for class in their own seats, I turn my attention to the front as Aizawa-sensei walks into the room, covered in bandages and his left arm in a cast and sling. My heart throbs at the amount of damage that was done to our homeroom teacher, he was an amazing hero, even though he is a bit rough around the edges.
“There’s no time to relax, your trialsl aren’t over yet.” He seems to scowl, most likely from the amount of pain his injuries were giving him. The class seems to freak out, immediately thinking there were more villains to fight, “The UA sports festival is in a few days so keep up your training. That is all, you are dismissed.” He swiftly leaves the room, the class relieved and shocked as well. my classmates chatter about how it seems a bit reckless for the school to still hold the festival after such a large villain attack. I half agree with my classmate’s sentiment but the UA Festival took the place of the old Olympics, so it is a big deal around the world, if UA was to cancel the whole world would know that something was majorly wrong, so the upkeep of appearances is really important at this time.
The classes pass as normal and uneventful, during our later classes we are released to go and train, much to my surprise and delight. I had into the dance studio on campus and connect my phone, quickly stretching before turning on my playlist of high energy and frankly exhausting dance moves. I continue dancing through our allotted time, ending up sweaty and a bit sore. As I shower in the locker room I analyze my training, realizing that some of the songs were too easy for me now and that I need to start learning harder dances. That means K-Pop groups that have elite moves and high energy. I exit the shower area and dress quickly, running a brush through my damp hair before heading back to the rest of my classes. I ignore the stares on my hair, some of my classmates and other students watching the soft curls naturally form as my hair dries.
The next few days pass like this one, every moment of free time full of dancing and training in preparation for the sports festival. The day of the festival arrived before I even knew it, Our class dresses in our gym outfits, those of us with personal equipment allowed to bring those in to assist us during the tournament. We enter proudly, chins high as we knew the world would be tuning in to see how the class who defeated over 70 villains on one of their first days in school.
