"uh, sure." jimin took his seat and awkwardly fiddled with his hands as he stared at the man across from him.

he still couldn't get over how much this guy's eyes looked like the weird guy from the bus. there's no way it could be the same man, though... right?

"there's only one question and it's more like a scenario but please, answer honestly." the man stated. "my name is yoongi. now, let's begin: you come across a young boy on the side of the street. he seems to be very hungry and thirsty, as if he hadn't eaten in days. when you walk by him he calls out to you. he asks if you have any food to spare. what would you do?"

this seemed entirely unrelated to the job but jimin still answered. "well... i would give him whatever change and food i had. if i didn't have anything i'd want to bring him to the nearest store and buy him something. nobody deserves to be lonely and hungry like that."

"hm..." yoongi seemed to be contemplating. "such a beautiful answer. most people would say to just throw him spare change. good." the man snapped his fingers and a piece of paper with cursive writing and a pen appeared in front of the two. "just sign this and you're hired."

jimin had to do a double take. he didn't want to question it but really... "are we not going to talk about how you just summoned pen and paper?"

"don't ask silly questions. please," he urged, "sign the paper."

without further ado, jimin hesitantly signed the page and began to read over it. "wait..." jimin furrowed his brows. "what language is this in?"

"latin, don't worry about it."

"what?" jimin sputtered.

unexpectedly, a cloud of what seemed to be black smoke swirled around them and when it disappeared, the room was a bright white.

"what did you just do?" jimin's eyes widened in fear. what was going on? this wasn't part of the job application. "this better not be some sick initiation joke," his voice shook as he spoke.

"don't ask questions you don't want the answer to, mr park," yoongi sighed. "now, you're job starts today." he seemed so enthusiastic all of a sudden. this yoongi guy was so... unpredictable.

"woah, woah, woah, wait. what did the waiver actually say?"

"you're just giving you're entire being to me, basically. by signing that waiver you've given yourself to the company," yoongi deadpanned. really, he was so unpredictable.

"so... what you're saying is... did you really just trick me into selling my soul?"

"sorry, i was lonely," yoongi shrugged, as if that was a good answer. "being a demon is lonely..." he muttered.

jimin's eyes widened in disbelief. he heard that right, didn't he? "a demon?"

yoongi stiffened. jimin heard him... but before he could do anything to erase what jimin had just heard, jimin spoke up again.

"don't you have demon friends or something?" the younger scoffed in exasperation. "oh my god..."

"god isn't real," the demon stated, averting his gaze. his eyes were red like the man on the bus' and he had horns now. dressed in an all black suit, it really contrasted his pasty white hair and skin. he looked strangely pure. "and yes, i am pure. angels and demons are pure beings— the most pure."

yoongi felt awkward. such a strange response evoked from such an average being— jimin was only human. how could he be so unique?

"so... so you're telling me that you're a demon, there's such things as angels, and god isn't real?" his eyes could only widen. could this day get any worse?

"i can, in fact, read your thoughts. you're a loud thinker, jimin. god, really loud," yoongi said, furrowing his brows. maybe this human was unique, but he sure was noisy.

jimin frowned, pursing his lips. was he really that bad?

"you are. but anyway! time for you to get to work! we're a huge company here in korea so you better do your job well or i'll just eat your soul. i'm getting hungry now."

"what?" jimin choked.

"you heard me. please, sort these pages! if you get that done you get to live and become my assistant!"
