Sero finished his job fifteen minuets early.
That gave him enough time to bike all the way to Denki's house. Parking his bke in a bush nearby, he finds the blonds light was on but the rest of the house was darkened with the curtains closed..
Denki's parents must be out.
Sero launched a small pebble at the window. Denki quickly opened it, smiling down at Sero. Denki's parents car wasn't in the driveway so Sero felt confidant enough to scale the ladder pass their bedroom window. Denki pulled him inside, just like he usually did.
"Hey. Mom and dad went out for the night."
So, Denki was going behind his parents backs? That was new.
The blond had never went against his parents wishes except for sneaking him in late at night."Ohoho, i can tell. So you can be a rule breaker, eh?" Denki rolled his eyes, grinning at Sero with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Yeah. Wanna see how much of a rule breaker I am?" Sero raised his eyebrows in a silent question. What did this blond tease have planned? Sero nervously smiles, eyeing the blonds playful expression with caution.
"I don't know if I like this new you. It's like invasion of the body snatchers."
Denki rolled his eyes playfully."Nah, I'm just living what little life I have left." How could he say that so calmly. The words dampened the mood. It was now or never. He had to ask Denki about the Sunday dinner.
"Heh, anyways, I got a text today." Sero picks at his short nails, staring into the blonds yellow eyes.
"And?" Denki's smile turned to a look of confusion.
"From my mom."
"What did you said?" Denki responds quickly, sitting back on his legs. He was bouncing in anticipation .
"I said I'd be home for Sunday dinner."
"Good. You can patch up you relationship."
"I also said I'd bring a friend with me."
Denki's eyes widened in excitement. Sero had kept him away from his home life for some reason and he never wanted to talk about it.
"I'll go!"
"Duh. I already assumed you'd go with me. But i don't know how i'll convince your parents."
"You leave that to me. I can convince them." Denki looked so sure of himself, a confident glow surrounding him. Sero nods, ruffling the blonds hair.
"Be ready by five. I'll swing by and grab you." Denki's head bobs in excitement.
"Let's hope dad and mom are in a good mood tomorrow." Denki mumbles, cuddling into Sero's side.
Yeah...Let's hope is all Sero could think before he allowed Denki to change the subject.
"So i bought some new comics yesterday. Wanna see?"

When Sero left later that night, Denki was left alone to brew up a plan. His parents knew he had very few friends besides his green haired tutor and his three friends he sometimes brought along. He had no problems with Izuku but his parents would never believe he'd be going over there without a reason.
"This is harder then i thought." Denki sighs to his poster above his bed. Maybe asking outright was a good plan?
The sound of a car door opening forces the blond to snap out of his thoughts. Something must of went wrong of they cam back a while before planned. He was glad Sero left before they got home. A loud shout makes Denki jump in fright.
Dashing downstairs, Denki finds his mom crying on the steps, his father looming over her. She was holding her cheek which was semi hidden by her long blond hair.
He hit her?
"What's going on?" Denki asks, stepping over to help his mom. She looks up, shaking her head.
"Just go to bed, Denki. I'm fine."
"He hit you." Denki argues, helping his mother up. His father had walked away into the living room. Denki's anger burned his eyes with the familiar stinging he got when he was about to cry.
"What did you do?" he yells, following his father to the living room, where he was sitting on the couch, as if he was innocent.
That pissed the blond off.
"Did you say something to me?" his father booms, making Denki's knees shake. He was almost 18. He shouldn't be scared of being hit but he didn't feel like explaining a black eye to Sero. But he couldn't stop his mouth from cockily replying with
"Yeah, asshole. Did you hit mom?" The venom filled words rolled off his tongue before he could stop them. His father stands up, stalking towards Denki with a hate filled gaze. The smell of alcohol burns the blonds nose.
He was drunk. He wasn't allowed to drink.
As if it was a reflex, Denki's heart started pounding in nerves. What were you supposed to do when your dad hits your mom?
"You live under my roof, you'll let me do as i please unless you want a matching bruise."
"Please stop you two." Denki's mom begged, her eyes leaking tears.
"Denki, stop it!"
"Me? Your mad at me for something he did? He hit you, mom. Your gonna let him walk free again?"
"You did the same thing with Sero." Denki freezes for a minuet. How dare she bring up that one incident? Sero was ashamed for months until Denki started getting sick.
"That's different! I love him!" Denki shouts, wiping his angry tears. His face felt hot.
"No son of mine is going to be one of those types. You'll do as told or you can get out!" Denki is shoved roughly into the door. The wooden frame slams into Denki's chest, most likely creating bruises. It winded him, leaving him gasping.
The pain was almost paralyzing.
"Sherry! Move it!"
Denki's mother had moved to help him, waiting for the pain to lessen before she moved him. Denki's forehead felt wet. When he looked up at his parents, his mother gasped, covering her mouth.
"You actually hit me." Denki says softly, pressing his hand to his forehead. He stared back at his bloody hand. The blood was dripping onto the floor and his shirt, staining it a deep crimson red.
"Don't be a wuss. Your a man, so take it like one." His father roughly shoved his aside, his back hitting the desk chair as he walked away upstairs. His mother followed, not sparing him a second glance.
Denki was stilled dazed when he slowly walked to his room. He stared in the mirror at his bloody face until the blood started drying. Only then did the reality of what just happened hit him like a truck in his gut. He started crying banging his fists against the sink counter.
He shakily walked away, reaching for his phone. He had to call Sero and get away from here. His stomach twisted in knots as the bloody finger prints on the phone smeared, Sero's contact photo being tinted in pink.
Denki was still sobbing when Sero's sleepy voice answered the phone.
"Hello?"
