In Sickness and In Health

Chapter Sixteen

Denki was having a blast. Izuku was fun to hang out with, even if Denki wished Sero had come. Once his cholocate ice cream was finished, it was time for lunch, which the boys indulged in. The food court was crowded, so they ended up sitting by the water fountain.

"Thanks for taking me out."

"No problem! It's always fun hanging out with you."

"Yeah. I hated being tutored. No offense."

"None taken." Izuku smiles, taking a bite off his slice of pizza. His green eyes scanned the crowd attentively. Denki looks down at his plate, glancing at his ring, which sparkles from the light flooding in through the glass dome.

"Oh, i almost forgot!" Denki gasps, shoing off his ring to Izuku. "Sero proposed!" Izuku coughs a little, eyeing the ring with wide eyes.

"That's amazing! How long ago?"

"A few weeks. Since i have only three years left to live, i want to get married before i die." Denki looks down, his voice cracking.

"Hey. It's ok." Izuku puts a hand on Denki's shoulder, comfortingly.

"I think Sero is a perfect partner for you. Even if your young, the circumstances kinda distract from that. Just be happy, ok?"

"I will. Lets finish eating so we can go look around more." Izuku chuckles, nodding his head.

"Ok. Let's eat."

"Huh? I swear i just saw Mina and Sero. Must be all the sugar in that ice cream." Denki rubs his eyes, turning back to his food with a smile.

He needed this day out.

Once Izuku dropped Denki off at home, the blonds arms were loaded with bags. Izuku's friend had given his alot of money with the instructions to not come home with any of it. Denki felt bad but he didn't mind being spoiled. The door was ulocked, so Denki just walked in, hearing laughing from inside.

"I'm back guys!" Mina pokes her head into the living room, waving at Denki.

"Hey. Bakugou wants to know what..Mmmm!" Sero covers Mina's mouth, glaring at her.

"Mina's high." Kirishima says, setting down the heavy garbage bag he was carrying. "How was lunch?"

"Fun. He took me to the mall and we just chilled. What did you guys do while i was gone?"

"Just hung out and watched movies. Wanna join? We bought extra snacks." Sero tosses Denki a bag of hot chips, making the blond snort. How corny.

"Sure. Let me put this upstairs." Denki walks away, humming slightly. He was in a great mood.

"I can't believe you forgot to buy the stuff for the cake!" Mina growls, wacking Kirishima on the back of the head. Anybody would be able to see the dark hickies that littered his and Bakugou's neck. It seems they got distracted.

"You were too busy fucking that you forgot and now we have to think up another lie!" Sero sighs, shoving the bags of decorations deeper into the closet by the kitchen door.
