(I updated yesterday but at this point, i update when i want lmao)

"Wait, what are you doing?" Sero gulps, letting the blond climb on top of him. His body was stuck in place, his heart pounding against his ribcage.

"I'm tired of waiting...I want you now..." Something was wrong.

"What happened?"

"Huh? Why would something happen?" Denki sits up, raising an eye brow. Sero's heart was calming down. Denki was just worried. He was impatient.

"I know you Denki. Your worried. Did Mina or Bakugou say something?"

"They didn't mean it...honest." Denki looks away, tears filling up his eyes, leaking down his cheeks. "They said i could have a pace maker inserted. But Bakugou said i'm too much of a pussy to call and ask. He said he'd operate on me but it'd kill me faster."

"Sounds like the same insensitive blasty. He was trying to joke around with you."

"You don't have to defend him. I know he was messing with me. But i guess coughing up blood again made me anxious."

"You started coughing up blood? How long ago?" Sero's brows were furrowed in concern, making the blond sniff. He was right in his choice to keep that from Sero. But now he knew, there was no point in keeping it hidden.

"It was around noon. Mina and Bakugou made me laugh so much with the food fight, i started coughing. I left and drank some water. They don't know, so lets not worry them." Denki rolls off of Sero, pulling the blankets up to his chin.

"My throat still hurts."

Sero rubs his boyfriends back, his mind buzzing with thoughts. He should be offering words of comfort to the blond but it seems his mind is blank. There was nothing he could say that would distract to the real issue.

Denki was getting worse.

That following Monday, Sero went to work bright and early. It pays off to be punctual. Toru had texted him that the key was hidden under the flower pot and that he was going to have a easy day. Sero was beaming in pride and he unlocked the store. After turning on the lights, he hooks his phone up to the speakers, playing some soft jazz. That always seemed to attract people.

"First day on the job?" A voice asks, the bell attached to the door ringing. A tall guy with half red and half white hair stood, a calm, aloof look on his face. His voice was monotone, making Sero a tad nervous.

"Yeah. You a regular?"

"You could say. Behind you should be a box of pre orders. Can you find one for a Todoroki?"

"Ah, so your Todoroki then? You must know Izuku." Sero bends down, digging through the pile. A few books were tied with string, a sticky not with Todoroki-san written in Toru's flowy cursive.

"Yes. He did mention bringing some friends to Maine. Anyways, welcome."

"Thanks dude. That's about...25.00?"

"Sounds right." Sero bags up the heavy books, handing them to the duo haired male who promptly pays, waving goodbye as he exits. He pokes his head back in quick, calling out one last message.

"Izuku is worried about your friend, Denki. You should give him a call and check in."

Sero nods, letting out a breath once the door is closed. That was just like Izuku to be worried even if he knew Sero was responsible for his friend. Izuku was a really great guy.

Sero spent the next 7 hours helping people find books, checking them out and making sure the shop was clean. Once his shift was over, Toru came to take the night shift. She sent him on his way after explaining that her boyfriend, a guy named Oijiro always picked her up late at night.

That's how the next week and a half went. Nothing interesting happened and nothing bad happened. It was just your every day domestic life.

              .........................................................................................................................

Denki was nervous. His parents have called him five times and he ignored all of the attempts to reach him. His phone lit up again, his mom's contact flashing across the screen. The picture was of Denki's 16th birthday party. That was before Sero turned 18, when his parents still allowed him to stay the nights on weekends. Before he came out. And before he got sick.

His mom's bright smile was light up by the candles on Denki's cake, which she made herself. His father had taken the picture just minuets before she dropped the cake which covered the kitchen floor in the too sweet blue icing.

You could just barely see the top of Denki's head in the corner of the photo. The picture served as a reminder that his parents weren't monsters. but people with deep seeded issues they needed to work out.

They can do it without me...

Denki swiped the ignore button, hoping they'd leave him alone. But once Denki's dad's photo popped up, he knew he had to answer. His heart rate spiked and his breathing became shallow.

He couldn't ignore him.

"Hello?"

"Why have you been ignoring your mother?"

"Because, i don't want to talk to you. Either of you." Denki whimpers, his hand beginning to shake.

"Why? Where are you? With that Sero guy? You'd better tell him to bring you home or we'll come find him. With the police."

"Please...just stop pretending you care. I'm just a mistake anyways. Let me die in peace dad. I'm tired of being under your thumb." Denki begs praying that Mina or Kirishima would walk in and smash his phone for him. He couldn't bring himself to end the call.

Who knows what he'd do to his mom. "I'll always be your father. You'll do as i say or there will be consequences." Denki's fathers voice was dangerous as he hollowed into his phone. His voice echoed into the living room where the blond sat. Mina and Kirishima were elsewhere in the house, which made Denki sob harder.

Where were his friends?

"Please...just leave me alone!" His phone is yanked out his hand, Bakugou pressing it to his ear.

"Who the fuck is this?" Bakugou goes silent, his eyes narrowing as he grinds his teeth. His blond brows were furrowed in anger which radiated off him in waves. Mina and Kirishima walk in, staying quiet.

Denki could only pick up a few words like Faggot, whore, slut and disgrace. Who they were directed at remained unknown.

"You listen here fuck wad. If you ever mess with my fucking family again, i will hunt you down and end your pathetic fucking life. It's your fault your son ran away you homophobic piece of shit." Bakugou growls into the phone, bringing it up high before smashing it down onto the ground just as Sero walks in.

"Whoa! What the hell happened?" Sero asks, rushing to the blonds side. Denki wipes his tears, shaking his head.

"It's ok. Bakugou took care of it." Sero gives Mina a questioning glance, the pink haired teen mouthing Later.

"Kirishima..."

"Yeah babe?" Kirishima asks, his voice soft and comforting.

"Buy him a new phone please. I need to cool off." Bakugou stomps into the basement, leaving the rest of the group stunned to silence. At least until Mina breaks the silence.

"Did he just call us family?"
