Chapter 19

The next day I woke up, I was laying in the bed. I look around and Aaron was gone. I sigh and curl my lip. Darn why'd he have to leave? I sit up in bed and stretch. "Hmmmmmm." I say as I sit there still trying to wake up. When I finally get up I take off my clothes and Aaron walks in. "Ah Aaron!" I shout as I try to cover myself. He laughs and smirks. He walks closer to me. My face starts getting really red. "Aaron don't come any closer!" I shout. He frowns sarcastically. "Aw come on babe were mates forever. I'm bound to see you in less than this sooner or later." He says, wrapping his arms around me. "Besides you had no problem laying with me last night! Don't think I didn't hear you put my last name after yours!" He says. I swing my leg up and put it on his chest, trying to push him away. Eventually it slips and he envelopes his arms around me. I bat them away and grab a random shirt near by. "I choose later!!" I shout as I slip it on. It goes to mid thigh. It must be Aaron's. At least I'm covered. "Oh come on, now your really taunting me!" He whines. I smirk. "Ha serves you right!" I say. "Don't get too cocky." He smirks. I stick my tongue out at him as I shove him out of the room. "Let me get dressed already!" I say. After he leaves I put on some jeans and leave Aaron's shirt on. I tuck the shirt in and put on some blue polk-a-dotted socks. I brush my hair and walk out. I walk to the bathroom and brush my teeth before finally going downstairs. I see Aaron cooking bacon and eggs when I get into the kitchen, I smile. "Making breakfast?" I ask. He looks over at me and smiles. "Yeah I thought I'd do something for you." He says. I giggle and hug him. "Thanks." I say before I sit down at the table. He fixes me a plate and I eat it up. "Mmmm Aaron this is so good!" I moan. He chuckles. "Thanks." He says. After I finish my plate, and Aaron finishes his plate, I do the dishes. Aaron goes upstairs to change from his pajamas. When he comes back down he kisses me good morning. "We have a pack meeting to go to." He says as he starts toward the door. "Oh no you don't!" I say pulling him back. He looks at me. "Reyna?" He questions. I shake my head. "I'm going- wait did you say we!!??" I ask. He sighs. "Look we're going to be late, we have to go." He says. I shake my head. "I'm shocked you want me to go!" I say. He sighs. "What? You don't want me to go!? Do I annoy you!? What's wrong with me Aaron? Why don't you ever take me to pack meetings!!!! Are you ashamed of me!?" I gasp. "ARE YOU CALLIN ME FAT!!!?" I shout. Aaron freaks out. "Ah Reyna! No don't think that, it's alright. No it's okay. Uh... I love you?" He says. He finally gives up on trying to comfort me and just hugs me. "Okay you'll be alright, it's just I'm scared you'll get hurt." He says. I stop crying and look at him. "Scared!?" I question. He pulls away and nods. "Today's the day of the red wolf attack..." He says. I stay silent for a moment. Crap I forgot about that! "Oh... Say why do you always have a pack meeting everyday?" I ask trying to change the subject. He sighs. "It's complicated, we're right in the middle of rouge season and it's where our pack gets attacked a lot and where many other lone wolfs ask to join our pack, so then I have to train the new pack members, and the pack, to be able to have them fight on their own. It's hard work, I also have to train the pack for the attack on the red wolf and then there's the peace treaties I have to sign with old enemies so I guess I don't take you because pack meetings are boring and I don't want you to get hurt... or something like that." Aaron says. I stand there staring at him. "Sounds tough buddy." I say as I pat his shoulder. He looks at me and laughs. "Yeah." He says. I laugh and start heading toward the door. "Come on alpha, we have a pack meeting to get to!" I say. Aaron grabs me. "Whoa! Did you just seriously call me alpha!?" He says. I scowl. "What! Is their a problem with it!?" I say. He laughs. "No. Not at all." He smirks. I scowl more at him and we head to the pack meeting. I glance at him as we walk toward the pack house through the woods. Suddenly Aaron stops and grabs me. He holds me tightly and growls like he's saying 'back off' to whoever he heard coming. Suddenly he relaxes and sighs. "Are you stupid or dumb Ryder!?" Aaron shouted. Ryder comes strolling out from behind a tree. "Yo bro! What's crack-a-lackin Reyna?" He winked at me. I scoff and roll my eyes. "What are you doing here Ryder?" Aaron asks angrily. Ryder whistles. "Just thought I'd tag along, going to the pack meeting and all." He said. Aaron gave a low growl and grabbed me by the waist and kept walking. "Aaron what are you doing? Why are you grabbing me like that?" I whisper to him. I glance back at Ryder who was walking behind us. He smiled smugly at me. "Where's Summer?" I ask. Ryder shrugs. "I left her at home. It's too dangerous here for her." I smile. "Awww that's so sweet Ryder!" I say. He rolls his eyes. "Plus she's so fricken annoying, telling me I don't love her and stuff. I mean I don't get it!" He says. I roll my eyes. "Your such an asshole! Aaron knows more about love than you!" I say. Ryder holds his hands up in surrender and Aaron smirks. We finally come to the pack meeting and we all sit down. Logan wasn't there though. Dang I wanted to have Lily here. I guess she was my only friend here and we barely get to talk and stuff. I sit quietly while Aaron and Ryder discuss the plan. "Alright Ryder while I come back to get reinforcements you'll start the attack. Can you handle that?" Aaron says. Ryder nods. "Don't worry I'm strong! Right Reyna!" He says making his biceps pop out. I roll my eyes. "Pay attention Ryder!" I scold. He smirks. "Reyna me and 2 other wolves, David and Shane, will take you to the red wolf. We'll leave before he gets there and you'll pretend to be lost. Or something like that." Aaron says looking at me. He was using his alpha tone this whole time and I couldn't talk otherwise I might just Attack Aaron in kisses. I nod my head in response. Aaron then starts to explain the attack plan to the other wolves. After about an hour or so we head out. I could feel my gut twisting and knotting. I was so fricken scared. I grabbed Aaron's hand and clutched it. He glanced down at my petrified face. "It's going to okay Reyna." He whispered to me. I scoot closer to him as we continue to walk. "It'll be alright Reyna." He says. I nod and tighten my grip on his hand. We finally arrive to a clearing. "The red wolf should be coming here soon." Aaron said. My eyes get teary. I don't want Aaron to leave my side. I know it's only a simple plan... to use me to locate the red wolfs pack and hideout. Then they'll attack and take me away to a safe place but I still am scared to be alone with a very powerful wolf!! I mean for heavens sake, He killed Aaron's parents!! Aaron's arm circles around me. I still had a tight grip on his other hand. I hug him back with my other arm as well. My tears come out silently and slowly as I blink. I rest my head on Aaron's shoulder and feel the heat of his body wrap around me. "I love you Aaron!" I say. David comes up behind Aaron and taps his shoulder. "The red wolf is close we have to leave." He says. Aaron lets go but I still hang onto him. "No please let me say goodbye." I say. I don't know why but I had this big feeling that something bad was going to happen and I couldn't shake it. Aaron pushes me off and pries our hands apart. "I need to leave in order for the plan to succeed. I love you, stay safe and I'll come get you as soon as I can before we fully attack." He says. He then kisses my cheek and runs away with his wolf speed. David and Shane follow pursuit leaving me alone to be taken by anyone. More hot tears stream down my face. Aaron I miss you so bad already! I'm scared.

Aaron's pov
"Yo Alpha, we're going to head to Ryder's squad meet you at the battle." Shane says. I nod and him and David both run off in their wolf form. As I was walking back to the pack house I heard a crack, another crack and then a third crack. "Ahh!" I hear someone scream. It sounded like a girl voice! More than that it sounded like Lily, Logans mate. Speaking of him he wasn't here today! Dammit Logan I can't have you bail on me today! Especially since Reyna is in danger if I don't get her to safety on time! Suddenly I hear someone panting. What is going on? If that voice earlier was Lily's and Logan wasn't here today does that mean... No I'm assuming the worst, Logan wouldn't get himself caught up in a problem! Not now! Not when I need him. Suddenly a stick hits my head. Huh?! I look up with a scowl on my face. Who the hell- LILY!!! "AARON!" She shouts before squeezing her eyes shut and leaping off the branch she was standing on. My eyes widen and adrenaline rushes through me. I run to where she was going to fall at and I caught her around the waist. "Shit Lily! What the hell are you doing?!" I shout angrily and let her go. Does she have a death wish!? "Logan's missing!" She pants, "He's in danger! We have to save him!" She shouts. I freeze, this bad feeling about Logan, was it true? Did he really get into a mess with Alice? No it can't be! I smile thinking it's all just a joke. "Come on, don't joke like that Lily." I say a bit annoyed. She bursts into tears, "Damn it Aaron! I'm not joking! He never came back to my house! Alice, Hayden and their little helpers took him somewhere and I know he's in serious danger!" She yells. My eyes widen and my mouth drops open as I realize what that crazy girl was saying. "WE HAVE TO FIND HIM!" I shout. I can't lose Logan! Him, Reyna, and my idiot brother is all I have left. My eyes glaze over a bit. Lily's eyes widen a fraction. "Can you mind link him!?" She asks. I waste not time in trying her idea. Logan dude where are you! This better not be a fucking joke! Your mate is in serious pain and you've bailed on me! What about the plan with the red wolf!!! I could feel myself going in and out of my inner wolf state. Aaron take Lily and make sure she is safe! Alice and her friends have got me! I don't know where I am, they've got me blind folded. Please just make sure Lily isn't hurt and I'm sorry I'm doing my best not to fess up about anything! Tell Lily I love her! Ow dammit they whacked me again! I have to go! Ow! My eyes blacken. "DAMN IT!" I punch the tree that Lily had jumped from, causing some branches to fall off. I see Lily laying on the ground wincing in pain. When had she's fallen? She looks pale and really sick, add what we wolfs call love pains (when your mate is upset or in great danger) and you might just die from the pains. Lily's strong though I know she can make it! I run over to her. I know Logan told me to keep Lily safe but if she's going to die Logan needs to be there to help her! "I know it hurts Lily. Stay awake, Logan needs you!" I say, trying to keep her with me but as I finish her eyes close and her body goes limp. Her breath came out slowly and very shallow. Shit! I have to get her to Logan! Sorry Reyna I have to save Logan too! I hope you can handle yourself for awhile...
