Chapter 21

This is the red wolf in wolf form

Reyna's pov (right after Aaron left)
I stand there sobbing my eyes out. My stomach was aching so much right now! "Well, well, well, Look what I found!" A deep leathery voice called out from behind me. I gulp as more tears stream down my face. I slowly turn my head and my eyes widen when I see just how intimidating this red wolf looks. Sure I've seen him when he was attacking me and Aaron but then I had no idea who he was. Now that I know what he's capable of and who he is, I'm a lot more scared of him! I wipe my eyes and try standing. "What do you want!?" I snarl at him. He cackles evilly. "Oh so your still feisty? Don't you remember me darling?" He asks as he steps forward. I stare at him then make my eyes widen in surprise. I hope he bought this act! "Y-your that wolf! From the other day! The one who attacked me!" I say. He smirks and grabs my wrist. I see 2 of his comrades enter the clearing as well. "You smell heavily of Aaron! Is he here?! I could just kill him now, it'll be easier." He says. I glare at him. "I lost Aaron! You probably smell him because I'm wearing his shirt!Dumbass! And don't you dare kill Aaron... He's done nothing to you!" The last part was more of an after thought. I had to act like I didn't know anything. Maybe that'll make it more convincing that I had lost Aaron. The red wolf smiles. "Oh sweetheart you're about to find out all your mates secrets!" He says. I look at the ground in fake shame. "He's not my mate anymore... we broke up." I mumble. The red wolf looks at me with a bit of surprise. "Really!? Well he is a dumbass.... That damn basterd took my life away!" He snarled. He tugs me along and I automatically struggle against his grip. "Let go of me!" I say boldly. He turns around and smacks me hard on the cheek. I gasp and hold my burning cheek with my free hand. "Shut up you idiot! Now that I have you I can lure the damn mutt here and kill him right before your eyes!" He says. I glare at him. "I told you he's not my mate anymore!" I shout. The red wolf chuckles madly. "Do you really think such a strong bond between you and your alpha mate can be broken with a simple break up? Well think again sweetheart!" He says as he yanks my arms and pulls me along with him. I stumble toward him and stay silent. After awhile he brings me to another little clearing where millions of mean looking wolves are laying around. My mouth drops and the reality of this scheme really sets in. A few wolves raise their heads as I'm pulled passed them. Finally the red wolf leads me to a stone platform in the middle of the clearing. He tosses me on to it and I hit the stone hard. "Listen here my follower! I've brought us a fine young women here... The alphas mate in fact!" He says. The wolves cheer and hoot as they give me dirty looks. I push myself up on the stone platform and the red wolf grabs my wrist again and yanks me up next to him. I wobble in my place from being pulled and thrown around. Did he have to treat me so harshly.... Then again he is a powerful wolf leading millions of rouges. A twist of pain enters my body and I wince. It almost makes me collapse but I stay standing. "Ah! So your feeling your mates pain? That must mean he's dying from being separated from you for to long! John, Henry! Go scout for her mate! Bring him back alive!" The red wolf shouts. He then pulls me after him as he walks away into the only tent in the clearing. He throws me down on the bed and advances toward me. He starts tying my hands behind my back and then kneels down in front of me as I lay silently on the bed. My hair hung in front of my face. His face goes softer but not the caring softer no this was more evil. He brushes his fingers against my face and then removes my hair from my face. He leans in to me. "Tell me, when will your mate come for you? I'm getting tired of waiting for that basterd." He says calmly as he continues to rub my cheek with his thumb. I lay there and look at him boldly. "I told you! We broke up, I made it clear to him that we were done over with!" I say. Another twist of pain washes over me and I wince. The red wolf sighs and sits me up. "Ignorant girl... He's your mate, not to mention he's the alpha and I can already tell you two have a very strong bond, meaning of I kill you your mate will be to weak and go insane making it easier for me to kill him!" He says. I spit in his face. "You better shut the hell up! Aaron would never let me die!" I shout. The red wolf slaps my face with a sickening crack and I fall down onto the bed. Tears stream down my face from the pain and because of what he said. "You better watch your mouth young lady! That's no way to treat or speak to your next alpha! Wolf of all wolves!!! Alpha of all alphas!" He gets an evil glint in his eye then glances at me. Suddenly someone bursts into the tent. "Sir we've encountered a problem!" He says as he pants. The red wolf guy turns around clearly annoyed. He grabbed a gun from a nearby table. He points it at the wolf and shoots him. The young boy falls to the ground. His dead eyes staring at me as he falls to the ground. His body making a sickening thump as he hits the ground. "Idiot needs to learn he can't just barge into a kings room when he's busy..." I gasp. "That's no way to treat those who actually follow you! You just killed a man because he came in with out permission! A true alpha... no a true man would never do such a thing! And it's things like that that probably made your pack turn against you!" I say. The red wolf turns to me with surprise. "And here I thought you were clueless... looks like someone's been doing a little bit of studying." He grinned evilly at me before picking up the dead body and laying it down on the bed beside me. I hold my breath and squirm around. "Enjoy your stay.... Miss Skylark!"
