Chapter 5

When I wake up my body was stiff. I saw Aaron sitting in a chair beside my bed. I smile and mange to move my hand so I could reach his. I intertwined our hands. As I do Aaron wakes up. He smiles. "Oh your up, can I get you anything?" He asks leaning forward and looking at me. I smile. "Just stay with me." I whisper. I didn't have enough strength to talk normally so I had to whisper. He smiles. "Of course." He says as he scoots back in his chair. I shake my head a little bit. "Would you sleep with me?" I ask. His eyes widen but he quickly smirks. "Anything for my sweet heart." He says as he gets in bed with me. I smile and lay my head on his chest. I get a sharp pain in my neck. I wince a little but continue to lay my head on Aaron's chest. "Don't leave me." I say as I doze off again. But before I completely go to sleep I feel Aaron kiss my forehead. "I love you." He whispers. When I wake up l notice Aaron is gone. It had been three days since I had asked Aaron to sleep with me and every night he came and slept with me and when I woke up he was still there but today was different, he wasn't there when I woke up. I sit up. "Aaron?" I ask. I stand up and walk down stairs and my mom comes over to me. "Hey sweetie." She says. "Where's Aaron at?" I ask my mom smiles. "He's at a pack meeting he said it be short but it's been awhile now." My dad said as he continued to read the newspaper. I sigh "where's the pack meeting at?" I ask as I sit down and eat some bacon. "Oh it's not that far just down the road a ways." My dad says as he sets down the newspaper he was reading. My jaw drops. "WHAT!! Seriously and no one could tell me this before!" I say. My dad laughs. "You were sick and then you got taken and then we had to take care of your neck so there wasn't really time to tell you were the pack house was." He explains. I growl and he raises an eyebrow. "Sorry honey I would of told you sooner but I thought Aaron had already told you." He says as he picks up the newspaper and begins reading again. "Well can I go down there and talk to him. I miss him." I ask. My dad sighs. "I can try mind linking him and see what's happening." He says. I look at him and tilt my head. "Mind link?" I question. My dad nods his head. "Yeah it's a werewolf thing, you see us werewolves can mind link each or to put in simpler terms we can talk to each other by thoughts." He says. I nod my head. "Cool... Now hurry up and mind link him." I say. He laughs and sits there. "Well?" I say. He holds up a finger. After awhile he looks at me. "He's just starting the meeting. He said his beta came late and there's a girl named Lilly there." He said. I gasp and stand up. "What there's a girl there! Oh my god I'm going down there right now!" I say as I run to the stairs and leap up them. I quickly change into some skinny jeans and a short sleeves tee shirt that had a cat on it with a pink crown that said call me the princess. I grab my red fleece jacket and run downstairs. I put on some boots and hear my mom say, "don't be to long sweetie." Then I slam the door shut and run down the road. After what seems like miles I come to an old log cabin. I burst open the doors and shout Aaron's name. I see him holding a girl with blonde hair and lily green eyes. I narrow my eyes that must be lily! Aaron looks up at me with a surprised look and throws the girl to the guy in front of him. The girl yelps in pain and I notice she has a cast around her right leg. "Dude be careful she has a shattered leg!" The boy who caught that girl says. I walk over to Aaron and cross my arms. "Hey I'm lily." The girl says. I scoff. "Reyna." I say then I turn my attention back to Aaron. "Aaron! Why were you holding that girl!" I say. "Babe it's not what you think!" He says. "Oh really enlighten me." I say as I glare at him. He looks around nervously. "Can't we talk about this later? Why are you even here?" He says avoiding my eyes. Then lily speaks up. "Oh no, Reyna you have it all wrong I already have a mate. This is Logan the one stupid enough to throw me around to strange guys." She screamed the last part and glares at the guy holding her, who I'm guessing is Logan. "Hey." Aaron says offensively. "Tell me about it guys are so careless." I say turning toward lily. "We're right here you know!" Logan says. Aaron agrees with him. "Are you four going to go to couples therapy or are we going to start this meeting?" A guy somewhere in the room says. "Shut up Ryder!" Aaron says angrily. "Actually Aaron I agree with him we should probably get this thing started if any of us want to go home tonight this could go on for hours." Logan says as he starts to put lily in a chair. "Um I would rather wait outside you wanna come Reyna." Lily says as she looks at me. I smile and look at Aaron. "I'd be delighted to." I say back. I walk to lily and pick her out of Logan's arms. He gasp as I carry her to the door. "Can you seriously hold her just like that?" Logan says surprised at my strength. I see lily's eyes widen. "Oh my god are you calling me fat.... Jerk!" She says. As I walk out I hear Aaron say, "bad move man." I smile and set lily down on a bench near the cabin and I sit down next to her. "Is Aaron seriously your mate. I feel bad for you." Lily says. I laugh. "He's not that bad he's surprisingly a really big softie underneath. So what about you and Logan?" I ask as I turn my attention toward her. She's smiles. "Oh you want to talk about softies let me tell you a little bit about Logan here...." She says. "I can easily make Logan blush but I mean what kind of man blushes!" She continues. "And I make all the moves in our relationship. Sure he's very defensive but he so afraid to hurt me or try anything that I wouldn't want to do that he lets me do everything first." She says. I smile. "But I don't want a playboy like my ex Hayden so I guess it's okay." I nod my head. "Oh my god I have a freak ex boyfriend named Caiden who just kidnapped me so I guess it's good that Aaron protects me." I say. "Guess that explains your bandages." She says pointing to my neck. "Pretty much what happened to your leg?" I ask. "Well long story short my mates enemy Alice tried killing me and shattered my leg in the process and so Logan fought her off and then took me to the hospital and now I have a week of bed rest which Logan especially hates because I'm on my period so he has to go shopping for me and carry me back and forth EVERYWHERE including the bathroom." She says laughing at the last part. I laugh with her. "So I'm guessing your human too then?" I say as guys start walking out of the pack house. She nods her head. "Omg.." She screeches. "Look at those lonely lost kittens!" She says as she points to two kitties picking their way through the under growth. I look over and see the two kitties and go pick them up. "Omg they're so cute!" I Coe as I hand her the black and white one. I hold up the fluffy calico cat and smile at it. "They're so fluffy I'm going to keep it." Lily says as she pets the cat. I pet mine to. "I'm going to keep this one, what should we call them." I say as we both look over and see Aaron and Logan coming out. They freeze as they see the kitties. "What. the. hell. is. THAT?" Logan asks. My cat jumps down and walks over to Aaron and rubs on his legs. He freaks out and jumps into Logan's arms. Logan looks at him with a what-the-fuck-face. "Dude seriously?" he says as he puts him down. Me and lily bust out laughing. "Guess the softies that we were talking about finally showed themselves." Lily says smiling at the boys. The boys both look at us. "SOFTIES!" They both yell at the same time. I get up and grab my kitty. "Aww she's so pretty. Wait that's it her name is pretty. She's such a pretty kitty." I Coe as I scratch underneath her chin. "What you named it! No Reyna put that mangy thing down we are not keeping it!" He says sternly. I bat my eyes and walk closer to him. "Pretty please, look at her she's so scared and alone." I say holding pretty up to his face. Pretty hisses and goes to claw him but misses. I pull her back in and curl my lip. "Please." I ask again. Aaron sighs. "No we are not keeping it." He says. I start to act like I'm going to cry. "Why do you even care it's not like we're living together!" I say as my chin trembles. "No no Reyna don't cry, okay we can keep it." Aaron says as he comes closer me. He hugs me and kisses me as he pulls away. I smile "thanks Aaron I love you so much." I say then I hand him the cat. "Hold her why I go help lily." I say and walk away. Lily looks down at her kitten, "I'm going to name her Cookie!" She says happily, Cookie purrs when She says her new name. "What?" Logan yells, "you aren't keeping her!" He says reaching out to take the kitten from her, she leans backward away from his hands and starts to fall backward, the bench didn't have a back to it! Quick as lightning Logan's hand catches her back and pulls her back up. "Lily be more carful!" He says. She slaps him hard in the face, "STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO!" She screams. Then she stands up and tries to walk, her face tightens as she tries to walk on her leg. "Lily stop your going to hurt yourself! Let me carry you!" Logan offers about to pick her up, she tries to push him away but falls flat on her back as she does it. I rush over and help her up. She leans on me as I walk her home. I hear Logan call her name but she doesn't look back. "Don't you want Logan to carry you?" I ask. "No way if he's going to act like a jerk-a-zoid then he can walk home by himself and I'm locking my window tonight." "Good choice I would do the same." I say. She pets her cat. "Especially after that fat comment in the pack house." She says. All the sudden Logan runs up to us. "Lily where are you going?" He asks. "Home but not that it's any of YOUR concern." She snaps at him as she flips her hair in front of his face. Logan sighs and looks at me. "Reyna could we have some privacy please." He says. "No don't go don't leave me alone with HIM." She says giving an icy glare at him. "Okay I'm staying." I say as I put my hands on my hips. Suddenly Aaron comes up behind me and throws me over his shoulder. "Were leaving babe." He says. I kick my legs and pound on his back. "Let me go!!" I scream then I hear Aaron tell Logan "good luck." As he pats him on the shoulder. Then he walks away. I start squirming around again. "Aaron!" I yell. "Wait where did you put the cat?" I say. He laughs. "I let it free." He said. "You did WHAT!!" I start smacking him in the back of the head. "Put me down I must go find pretty!" I scream. He sets me down and I run away. "Reyna!" He shouts after me. I see the cat sitting on the bench and I scoop it up in my hands. "It's okay I won't ever leave you alone with that big mean mutt ever again." I say as I scratch behind her ears. "Seriously you called me a mutt." Aaron says as he comes up beside me. Pretty hisses at him. Aaron growls back at her. I laugh. "Dogs will be dogs." I say as I start to walk away. Aaron follows me. "Are you mad at me? Did I miss something?" Aaron asks. I look at him. "Huh? No why would you say that?" I ask. He sighs. "It feels like your giving me the cold shoulder." He said I stop walking. "Reyna?" He questions. I smile. "Why would I be mad at you sure you ticked me off tonight but I still love." I say. I stand on my tiptoes and kiss him. As I go to pull away he puts his arm around me and pulls me closer. We stood there kissing for awhile until pretty hisses. I pull away and laugh. "Come on babe." I say as I grab his hand with my free hand. As we walk our hands swing in between us. I rest my head on his shoulder as we near my house. "Can you stay?" I ask. He smirks. "If your parents let me." I smile. "Trust me they'll let you stay." I say as I eye him and open the door. My mom and dad were sitting on the couch. We walk over to them. "Mom look at this pretty kitty!" I say as Aaron let's go of my hand. I sit on him and his arms wrap around me. Pretty jumps off me and goes over to my mom. My dad freaks out. "What! Reyna get that mangy thing out." My mom and I both gasp. "Honey be nice!" My mom says. I cross my arms. "She is NOT mangy!" I pout. I hear Aaron sigh. "Reyna we are not keeping the cat." My dad says. "But dad Aaron said I could!" I protest. My dad looks at Aaron and gives him the death glare. I look at Aaron and kiss him. "Oh honey it'd be good for you to have a cat." My mom says, sticking up for me. I smile and lean back against Aaron. "Jenny don't you start too." My dad complains. My mom walks over to him. "Start what I was just saying it'd be good for you." My mom says innocently. I guess you could say that's where I get it. Making Aaron cave in. I look up at him and smile. He smiles back at me. I look back at my mom and dad. I see my mom sitting on my dad's lap drawing her index finger up and down on his chest. I giggle. Mom was seducing my dad right in front of us! I sit up. "Okay well me and Aaron are going up to my room and give you guys some privacy." I say as I pull up Aaron. He stands up and I stumble back a bit. My mom and dad look at us. "Oh sweet heart, stay and take notes will ya." My mom says smiling at me. "What! Ewwww." I say as I drag Aaron to the stairs. "Don't be doing anything naughty! Aaron!" My dad says eyeing him. I scoff and roll my eyes. As we get into my room we sit on my bed. "My parents are so weird." I say as I draw out the so. He smirks. "Ya I can see where you get the seducing from." He says. My mouth drops and I punch his arm. I pull my hand back. My face tightens in pain as my wrist shoots pain up my arm. "Oh my god! My hand!" I shout as I hold my wrist. Aaron grabs my arm and looks at my hand. "Now you learned your lesson not to punch me." He says smirking. I scowl at him. "Well how was I suppose to know your arm was rock hard just like your chest." He chuckles. I stick my tongue out at him. "Shut up." I say. "Hold on." He says as he gets up and leaves. I sit perfectly still. My eyes slowly start closing. I lay down and close my eyes. "Awwww... good night Aaron." I say. As I fall fast asleep.
